It's definitely the cliche thing to think a skillful Brasilian is selfish but Neymar definitely isn't. However, if he feels he can run through on 2-3 players on his own, he'll do it and probably succeed.

However, Gio has a valid point, he's gonna have to prove himself all over again. Just like how he had to prove he isn't some flash in the pan when in Brasil, he's gonna have to show everyone he isn't just some overhyped Brasilian boy wonder in Europe.

Whether he comes to Madrid or wherever, I'll be an admirer of his talents...

Pep is going to be out in a years time, Rosell loves Brazilian players more than i love drinking based games while playing on my 360.

If Madrid dont act fast, then Rosell wont hesitate to sign Neymar and have a front 3 of Neymar-Messi-Sanchez :lol!:

When neymar plays for santos, its too easy to see how big of a star he will be

Robinho was a very big prospect, but not even close to half of what Neymar is

Neymar excites me. He really does.
I just don't want to see anybody dropped.
Unlike a lot of people(so it seems) I was really impressed with di maria and Benzema this season. And one of the two is definitely getting dropped

You enjoy those "Status quo" arguments, you find them to be safe. Then you try your best to defend general opinions if they suggest someone is good. Seriously be more predictable Crimson. I have watched Neymar playing for Santos (where he happens to be the focus of the attack) and hence the focus of attention. If he is team player as you suggest, have you ever thought that he enjoys being the go to guy and thrives off it? Playing for Brazil, he is nobody, therefore he will resort to selfish play to prove his worth. How exactly do you think he is going to play at Real Madrid? -when he will be even a smaller fish in our attack than when he is playing for Brazil.

The thing is, even with brazil, despite not being the center of attention, he isnt selfish at all. He always try to set up a team mate or get other guys involved. Sure he will try to pass in one on one at time, but anyone with that kind of skills would. He is actually showing a nice ability to set up his team mates, i dont see him trying to do personal actions, or forgetting his teammates just to steal the show, on the contrary, he plays very collective.

I don't usually get excited for signings. I'm more of a skeptic. I always wait to see how a player copes at the club before I give them any praise or kudos. The last player I got excited about us signing was Ozil and he turned out to be a gem of a player, signing of the season in fact. I give hype, where I think real hype exists. Neymar has potential and he is a talented kid, but I'm not doing cartwheels, sorry.

Ironically I was least excited over Ozil coming to Madrid. Had little expectations of him. Go figure he turn out to be something great. So I hope my general excitement over the prospect of Neymar making Alves look like his current Brasil form doesn't turn out to be pipe dreams...

The thing Neymar has going for him is that he's 19. All the other guys we're talking about were at least 21 before joining Madrid as stars... i think he will turn out great with two years of development in a top notch system. Santos has done all it can do in terms of Neymar's development.

Meh, let him be the sub for Özil. Özil can't play a full 90 mins anyways, so in rotation he can be trained at the same time showing what he got.
