compare remaining fixtures here
i think we need at least 10-11 wins
title is man city's to lose
they play all of current top 5 at home
if they have strong home record they will do it
here is hoping they bottle it and we dont fare badly in our difficult away trips
Yep.. the bookies had us as favourites in December and now at ~3/1. City strong favourites now and with good reason. No getting around January was a bad month.

OptaJoe @OptaJoe
0 - Manchester City have not beaten any side currently in the top six of Premier League table this season (W0 D3 L4). Damning.

Re: Rival Watch
As it stands with 12 mins to go at the Etihad, tied at 1-1.
Draw would be the best result for us right now. Don't want Spurs gaining momentum or City rediscovering form. They don't look like the same side anymore without De Bruyne and they arguably look shot for confidence because Pellegrini is on the way out.
Spurs, on the other hand, they've got confidence.

Re: Rival Watch
While City look like a side full of players who know their manager is walking the plank and men dying to head east and $p€ak Chin£$€, we might look back on this result as a positive in the long run.
Of all of the title-challenging teams, City are the only ones with real experience in winning the league. Getting a cushion between us and them could help as Leicester and Spurs could still fall short.
Then again, it's just as possible we do, but then there's this:

Not worried about having to play Spurs to knock them out of the race. We've still got United away and Swansea at home before then. The entire complexion of the race can change from game to game, let alone three games down the line. Just happy with today's result for now.

Re: Rival Watch
While we're at it, worringly enough we have the least best GD of the top 4 teams. Surely we will need to improve on that. Although at this moment of time, the key is of course taking it game by game and trying to win as many as possible.

Leicester - 15 points
City - 10 points
Spuds - 13 points
Arsenal - 9 points

Re: Rival Watch
You're right. We dreamed of 12 points from the previous 4 games. We ended up drawing Liverpool, Stoke, and Soton and typically losing to Chelsea yet again.
We're doomed.

Re: Rival Watch
Just looking to get to the final stretch without getting too banged up. Besides City away, it gets favorable towards the end. With 5-8 games left, then we'll talk.
Leicester's last 3 are against United, Everton and Chelsea
Spurs last 4: Liverpool, United & Stoke away.

Re: Rival Watch
Which means we have to be there(abouts) when we get to that phase.
I am still not sure about the Rival Watch Run-in like I did last year. On one hand, I really have lots on my plate with my work. On the other hand, who really are 'Rivals'? At one point last year, I was doing that for 7 teams :/

Re: Rival Watch
Well it's between the top 4 obviously lol. For now at least one or two might drop out with 5 or so games to go.
No pressure though if work is giving you too much to handle at this moment

It looks like Marouane Fellaini might be out also, suffered a slight tear in his hamstring.
