There's no love lol, just being honest. Last year's top 4 are still a step above everyone else.

Part of United's problem has been that they have no players in midfield who can take the ball and run with it, in fact, they have very few skilled dribblers in the team altogether, a teenager Januzaj probably the best one. It's a bit too easy to defend against them if you don't have to worry too much about being beaten one-on-one. Sadly, Di Maria will address this problem and make United a bit more unpredictable.

Well true Art, he does like he did for Madrid bring incisiveness and speed to their attacks.

The biggest problem with all this is how are they going to fit all these players in so they are a dangerous and balanced outfit.

There's probably enough ability there now, fitness permitting of course. Still though the defence has to be considered an issue.

he needs to change the system a bit like a diamond, that is the only way to go or 4-2-3-1 which will be narrow with Mata on wings, Rooney in hole, RVP up front...if they play that 3-5-2 crap whole season, you heard it here first that they wont finish above Spurs

Herrera instead of Cleverly most likely.But honestly they will be better if they drop either Rooney or Van Persie and play 4-3-3

And I don't know about you guys, but I have my doubts about a RvP-Rooney pairing upfront.

It's difficult to bench either of them, RVP or Rooney. I don't think either of them would take it very well.

To be fair they are going to be crap defensively regardless.

Just how it is with those defenders.

Meh defending depends I the system more so than individuals and LVG shied that he can defend great in the WC even with bang average individual CBs

it makes a huge difference over the course of 38 games

PSG are the biggest idiots of this summer transfer markt, signing a mediocre CB for 50 mil and crippling their ability to bring in people they actually need.

PSG offered 60 mil for Di Maria.... which is overpaying already  They just didn't want to pay 75.  And you guys think that shows weakness?  

And yes, they did need a CB.  Silva is injury prone and he's psychologically rattled too now after the WC.  Camara, Marquinhos and Alex were going to get them nowhere.  Given the price paid for Mangala, etc., 50 mil isn't that bad unbelievably.  Luiz isn't the best...  but he's just as good as Ramos

It's hard to judge how good your squad is this early in a WC year when most of your players went to the WC...  no preseason.  Most of these guys are playing their 3rd or 4th game literally.  It's going to be preseason for about 3-4 weeks. To boot, Ibra got injured. I think PSG is just fine as it is. There was no area of need really; but the defense cost them the CL. Aurier and Luiz bolsters that group.
