If you notice, Ozil has just 2 less assists than Di Maria and he didn't even play in La Liga last season. Also, Messi and Ronaldo scored 250 goals or something each in that period; so you shouldn't compare.

Ozil was pretty much camped by the penalty box, heat maps had him as our number 9 lol. DiMaria was a winger and later a CM the way he has consistently assisted is amazing. Ozil is playing winger now wonder how that's going for him. Messi does it all he is absolutely amazing. Surprised about Ronaldo's number but I guess it will put to bed the notion he can't pass

Insane amount of money for Di Maria. I hope he does well. The thing to watch our for is his durability in the EPL... he's had injury problems every season at Real Madrid and La Liga is really soft

Alot of money but we are selling a piece of our puzzle. There are many weak players in epl but it's going to be annoying with his rolling around sfter tackles but I am confident he will succeed

The only reason Di Maria got so many assists was the same reason Benzema Bale and Ozil did

Look who they play with.

Watch him struggle at Man Utd like Ozil has done at Arsenal.

80me is *bleep* highway robbery, brilliant by our club to get that much when you consider he was going to be sold in Jan for 30me lol

only tiny bit of difference is that DiMaria plays just as great for his national team so no it's not because of Ronaldo. I think he will get double digit assist for United

Don't think anyone in the Madrid squad will reach the height of ozil and dimaria in the assist category. in fact I think james, kroos, alonso and modric combined will have less assists than dimaria alone last season

Messi didn't have the best scoring record for Argentina until lately. And with all due respect RVP> Aguero and Rooney=Higuain. Again unlike Benz, Ozil and Bale he has never found it hard to continuously play great and play a part in his team's goals

We'll find out how adaptable and versatile Di Maria truly is now. I think he'll be fine... my only concern is durability with him.

And 85 million is ridiculous. Granted we bought Bale for 100 and James for 91, which were equally as ridiculous. But at least we're dishing some back with Di Maria Laughing
