Today is a good day

The after we lose to Valencia, i didn't think i would be having such fun watching la liga medias.

Barca losing, barca descending into flames, zubi out, puyol out.

now it's full on mayhem, stoichov on radio blasting the whole barca board, saying they have no clue how to treat players at barca in general, mentioning how great players never leave barca the right way, asking for elections

I believe in Bartolomeu Dent, hold it down son, you are president of barca, don't let them btches tell you what to do

Anyone know why CR was benched? Was it to prove a point, CR can take the bench whereas Messi can't?

Probably because Ancelotti is turning into the blind f... we saw at the start of the season.. Where's continuing to not notice better players on the bench than the ones starting every single time.

Atletico doesn't even want to man mark Bale, Jesé on the other hand gets multiple men every time..

United please take this piece of shit player off our hands before I die of misery. Watching him play is like watching someone beat up a crippled dog...

Maybe so that he gets used to it when Real have to play Martin Ødegaard as he will certainly put it into his contract that he can't get benched?

The only one with those clauses are Ramos and Bale. They can do whatever they want without risking being benched.

Well, Ødegaard demands first team football, too. So it's obvious CR7 will get some problems with all these contractual starters...

can't believe Ramos decided to pull off two disicplined, composed, flawless world class performances against us, and then score a couple of goals

'first team football' in the Ödegaard context though means merely he wants to be part of the first team and not the youth team

Well, they have to accomodate Bale and the kid up front, so things will get crowded and someone has to be sacrificed

Ramos is the best defender in the world... at heading in set pieces.

At everything else, he's above average to just average. On defending merits alone Varane deserves to start over him. But so long as Ramos remains Real's most consisten goalscoring threat in big games there is no way he will be benched.

on the other hand, most part of it was probably due to us being utterly harmless and schematic

That's not the reason he's not getting benched. He's probably the most powerful player in the locker room, and he decides if he wants to play.

Just look at the big game today, 100% at fault for the penalty goal and missing his marked man on the second goal.

Benzema: 1
Kroos: 1
Ramos: 1
Everyone else: 0

Still the most dangerous player offensively.

Man how the times have changed. I remember a time not so long ago when Atleti had not won vs Madrid in something like 15 years. Today I check the score at work and "Oh Atleti won, that's nice for them but not that surprising" . Simeone, made them get respected again

I would laugh. If I didn't know that Atleti rested most of their key players and will wreck us next week.
