Re: So is Pardew still the worst manager of all time?
VR this forum isn't alone in that type of thinking, the media constantly tell us we should be happy just to stay in "THE BEST LEAGUE IN THE WORLD " not to get any ideas above your station and to stay in your place.
The minute anyone gets an idea to have aspirations better than the status quo they are delusional and wrong, but when a top 4/ London club do it they are right to complain and should expect better.
It's utterly ridiculous and goes against the very idea of professional sport.

This is probably my least favorite thing about football. Maybe l'm too American or something? .. lol..But l don't get why people don't want to see the league shook up more often. The prem hasn't been truly competitive in about 20+ years. Why is suggesting any possible rules to help balance things so taboo? Like you are suggesting the dumbest thing ever or something. iirc, Promotion and relegation exist for a reason, because those teams that come up are supposed to be able to have a shot at something, right? That just isn't possible anymore, but it was some time ago. Leeds won the championship, and then won the league the first year up. That literally cannot happen now. like its lmpossible. But it shouldn't be.

Ah hasn't had enough pissing off Newcastle fans he wants to piss off other clubs fans too.
His ineptitude would be a lot easier to stomach if he wasn't such a detestable person.

It would all rather be complete speculation in another time and another universe, but I'm fairly certain Pardew gives our Dear Great Leader nightmares.

Nightmares? No.
It does piss me off how everyone seems to be oblivious to how much of an incompetent moron he is.
And how we are supposed to be happy with 35 points in 36 games and insulting football.

Not even Sacchi could have gotten more big wins than Pardew has. Today his side was ravaged by injuries and suspensions, more so than Arsenal.

llol yes the 2nd half of season 2014 (after Cabaye's selling) was really awful from Newcastle
Luckily the Magpies had played a great first half season , otherwise I could imagine an end Sampdoria 2011-esque tbh. It was the delirium , even Pardew to give headbutt . Typical moment for a sack if he didn't have that contract

Re: So is Pardew still the worst manager of all time?
Not the worst manager of all time. Definitely not the best. Probably towards the bottom of the table in terms of quality- managerial-wise.
But the bigger problem is Mike Ashley. No ambition whatsoever, and if Pardew is such a trash manager why hasn't he been sacked? Because Ashley is perfectly comfortable as long as at the end of the season Newcastle sits above relegation.

Naturally but as a fan I have always thought that getting rid of Pardew is easier than getting rid of Ashley and still do as ridiculous as that sounds.
Nothing will be right until both are gone and some ambition returns, the saddest part of it is the fans. Bobby Robson basically got sacked because of failure to secure top 4 but now everybody seems to be happy with just not getting relegated.
That's the biggest indictment of the Ashley/Pardew regime, the fans have lost all hope.

Re: So is Pardew still the worst manager of all time?
having some fun when it comes to it is all well and good , but honestly , how Pardew is still the manager at Newcastle is really awkward . The results do speak on their own and i am sure much more which i don't really know about. Just looking at results though . He should have been sacked by now , obviously .
Having that said , since he still keeps his job no matter what and Newcastle seem to be doing rather well recently. Maybe he finally does something right at Newcastle? The defeat to Arsenal aside , which is always on the table regardless of the final outcome , Newcastle enjoyed a great run of games .

Re: So is Pardew still the worst manager of all time?
As I said before though, results like these have happened pretty much every season he's been at the club because of the individual talent which has been available to him.
It's never sustainable though and if we didn't beat Chelsea we would have gone 4 games without a win. Also as I said before it's never just been about the results.
But even if it was 35 in last 37 games isn't good enough and shouldn't be for any Premier league side.
