Thought we were quite solid and score could've been a lot bigger then it was defence wise we were better then other games, the Bartra-Pique-Masche-Mathieu back line was pretty good something I was thought we should've tried now we should especially in the big games.

we shouldn't play mathieu there again, he does better in the center.

Alba - Mathiue - Mash - Bartra should be our starting back 4. Lets Alba push forward a bit more and let Bartra not push so far up like Alves and I think we might have a good backline.

Agreed, I thought Bartra was fantastic. Single-handedly saved a goal twice by throwing his life on the line.

Bartra could be our new Abidal (tall full back that would stay back while the other full back dashes forward). That was a big problem with both Alba and Alves because the it would only leave Mascherano and Puyol behind by themselves.

But with Bartra staying back with Math and Masch/Pique then Alba can dash forward all he wants

In two years time we have gone from fielding no center backs to playing four.

Just got to show what a waste Alves is. The right side looked solid for once defensively.

Interesting line up by lucho but it paid off. Our defensive structure was a bit odd this game. Not sure if I'm the only one that noticed but it seemed like we were switching between a back three and back four throughout the game. There were definitely times when it seemed like masch was playingin front of the defense alongside busi. Will be interestinf to see how this evolves.

City, Arsenal and Juventus could be problems.
