Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Don't call me James wrote:The new contract means nothing in terms of him staying. He's still going to leave.
Suarez signed a contract extension in December and was gone in the summer. Means shit all other than leaving Dortmund in a better bargaining position.
Of course it means something, it means exactly what you said it meant. Leaving Dortmund (and Reus, TBH) in a better bargaining position. It is a hell of a difference to sell him for 25m or 100m, and if that permanently red-carded tit Suarez goes for that much, why shouldn't Reus?

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Yea, I can definitely see Reus staying now. Despite what most people think Dortmund are not a selling club, with Goetze there was a buy-out clause so they had no say, Sahin and Kagawa had one year left in their contract and didn't want to renew so Dortmund either had to sell them or lose them for nothing the following year like it happened with Lewa.
Anyway, who the *bleep* is Alexander Meier? Why is he leading Bundesliga's top scorer chart with 14 goals? Schalke's journey seems more complicated than what I was expecting. Nothing that Howedes and co can't handle tho.

Regardless of whether or not Dortmund is a selling club, without CL it won't just be Reus that leaves. Sad really.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread
Dortmund have no need for money even if they miss CL because they don't even have a bigger yearly salary than Schalke for example and they always fill their stadiums, so I think they're going to be fine from a economic point of view. And they know that they have to keep their biggest players in order to get back to CL, so I can definitely see Dortmund asking sky-high prices and scaring other teams away because they don't have the weakness in players's contracts they had with Goetze, Lewa, Sahin and Kagawa.

Only the f*cking Legend of Mainhattan, Frankfurt top player extraordinaire, and... Yeah he's the only focal point of the Eintracht offense capable of scoring, so that's why he scores a lot.

Bundesliga's entertainment value dropped significantly, though, now that Dortmund are no longer in the relegation zone

Well, they still are close, though. 7th placed Hoffenheim have 26 points and 18th placed Stuttgart have 18 points. Both Mainz and Dortmund are currently at 22 points.
