i'm curious, why every time messi play with riquelme, riquelme always outshined him

is there any explanation?

His skill on the one you are calling interception, is great. however, i am not sure whether its an perfect example of inetrception since the ball was not going closer to any of the opponent players. If Messi would not stop it, it would just go out.

But the result from that was a counter-attack and a goal.

I'm fairly sure Messi was better both semi-final and final of CA07. Would have to watch it again to be sure.

Riquelme and Messi played together in WC 2006 and CA07 right ? I'd expect a prime 28yo riquelme to oushine a kid who's 19-20 yo player (if it was the case). Just saying

Lol calm down . If a prime Riquelme can't oushine a 19-20 yol Messi who at that time still had physical problems despite his obvious talent then Riquelme is rightfully (under-)rated.

For pass, I would give it to the one he gave to Suarez in the game vs Getafe, or the pass for the goal in the 2nd leg to Neymar vs City.

Header, there was a game where he scored a ridiculous diving, sliding on his belly header from a corner kick. don't remember who we were playing, but I know it was a league game.
