Re: Europa League 2014-15 - Pt.2
Sepi you're jumping to conclusions, as per usual. What I'm wondering is how would winning the EL affect that match? Would Napoli purposely throw the match to give Serie Z 4 CL spots? Or would Napoli not even take the final that seriously to begin with since they have a fall back?

BC..It read differently
As for this, that'd be ridiculous. Not all teams are like Barca/Chelsea/Man U/Madrid/Bayern who are spoiled by trophies and titles pretty much every year.
Napoli have won 2 Copa Italias and 1 Super Copa Italia since the late 1980s !!!!
The final will be the biggest game in their history in over a decade.
Not everything starts and ends with CL...I hadn't even though of "fall back" , because I don't think that will even be entertained. Like who cares if you finish 3rd or 4th in a league, when you can absolutely go out and win a European trophy...your 4th ever trophy in 25 years.
Not to mention Benitez would like to leave with a European trophy, not a mediocre league finish. As for letting Serie Z having 4 spots, I don't think they really care. Napoli's game before the final (should they get there) is away at Juve. They'll rest players there as well.

Re: Europa League 2014-15 - Pt.2
That's true although they already won the EL precursor with Maradona.
I think at that stage Juve will have won the league already and play their reserves as well.

Re: Europa League 2014-15 - Pt.2
A bit drunk now...but man, I miss Rafa.
during his time, we were relevant. 2 CL finals, 1 Semi, 1 QF.....beat Barca and Real away from home...managed to go to Best Juve team of all time with Scot Carson, Igor biscay, Djimi Traore, and Nunez and qualify for semi-finals.
If it wasn't for a freak Ivanovic double header, we'd have met Pep's Barca at Semis in 08-09 with peak Alonso-Masch-Gerrard midfield. the greatest match that never happened.
We're so into obscurity these days. Europe is where it is man...Europe is when you find out how good your team and manager actually are. I'm already envious of the club that will get Rafa for next season. Hope he wins it again. come on Napoli !

If Napoli wins the EL , they'll get a CL spot right ? Which means they should focus 100% on winning EL.

Fernandez missed an absolute sitter straight after that goal.
Both teams having plenty of opportunities so far.

They were playing really well early on, just need a bit more luck.
Don't worry the European Super Cup match with Juventus is still on.

Not sure how i feel about Unai, he's all well in most games but when comes against big teams ffs. The rumors claim that he has not renewed and aims to come to Milan

What big teams ? The fact that he's leading cash strapped Sevilla to a 2nd EL title is an enormous achievement in itself. How do you expect him to compete with Barca and Madrid ?

then tbh I don't rate highly Sevilla as team , it looks live average to me . Emery is their top player. I hope he doesn't go to Milan.

He's known for botching it up against big teams, not just Real/Barca, but also Vilarreal, Atleti, La Real, etc ever since his Valencia days. Personally, not a fan of him.

Its not so much as Sevilla being average as it is Fio being dogshite lol, one only needs to look at the buildup to the 2nd goal

I remember you were referring to Emery as the Spanish Allegri which is stupid because Allegri has had a great record in big games this season.
Some coaches have happened to fail at a certain club but found success in another.Emery is just another example. And there's no basis to judge him on big games considering he hasnt even taken over a big team yet.
If Juve were in Milan's position,i'd be very happy to see us hire a coach like Emery.
