Bale played effectively in the spot right behind the striker multiple times that season-- see the 2-1 win vs Arsenal, for example.

He's done it in the EPL, at least

Well Cbarca this is madrid. And there are better players who can play in the hole then bale. Like, CR, or benzema. Which brings me to my next point.
Why chicha didn't start that game is a disgrace. He wouldve done way more then bale.

And BTW,
0 - shots on target, tackles and chances created. Although the
Welshman did have one shot blocked.
18 - total passes - the fewest of all Real's players, and three fewer
than the total made by goalkeeper Iker Casillas.
32 - total touches - again the fewest of any Real player (Casillas
had 36 touches of the ball).

Some words of advice to the Real fans around:

You should tone it down, and start to play it cool a bit more.

By now the English press has noticed how badly Bale is received and how shitty he performs.
Got slated by Scholes etc on English TV.

Just a few weeks ago, while you guys already long before knew what flop he was, British media still were in full 'Bale is a top 3 in the world player who needs to come back home and light up the PL' mode.

If he starts getting more bad press in England, that's bad for you.

If you want Woody to throw money at you for Bale, PL journos and Utd fans need to remain convinced he's the next Cronaldo.

Woody is a financial industry guy.
As such he is mindful of PR and public opinion.
Public opinion is formed by TV pundits, their editorial team, and journos.

What do you think football journos and editorial staff do all day? That's right, they browse football forums to get ideas lol.

So stop giving them ideas if you know what's good for you.

Bale is one of the best footballers in the world, no way Real should be thinking of selling him, unless a crazy offer came in from a BIGGER club which outmuscles them financially Molenation

Bale is not going to be sold so quickly. Mehdrid would have some big name replacement in line already and you would hear about it every day twice a day in Marca. But they don't. Hazard ain't going anywhere at the moment so who would they get? And pls don't tell me they don't need anyone because 4-4-2 with Isco and James is enough. This is uncle Flo. If he can choose between Isco + James or Isco + James + Bale what do you think will it be that he chooses? Laughing

Re: Bale for Sale

Perhaps the most important quality of a playmaker is the vision and ability to read the game, and to get into good positions making for effective reception and distribution of the ball. Intuition and creativity are other key elements of a playmaker's game, as they need to know where different players are at different times, without taking too long to dwell on the ball. A good playmaker possesses good ball control, balance, technical ability, and dribbling skills, and will often hold possession, allowing other team members to make attacking runs. The ostensible role of the playmaker is to then provide or facilitate the final pass which leads to a goal.[32] In football terminology, this is often known as a killer ball or the final ball, and is officially recorded as an assist.

Advanced playmakers are often known for their ability to score goals as well as their technical skills, passing, and chance creation ability. They are often quick, agile, and mobile players, with good tactical intelligence; their movement off the ball is just as important as their movement on the ball, as they must create space for further attacking plays. Many playmakers are also free-kick, penalty, and dead-ball specialists, who are also capable of curling the ball into the box from set pieces, providing further deliveries for team-mates, although this is not necessarily a trait that is required to be a playmaker
.

Does Bale have anything to do with this ?

I'm looking for the haters of a certain French Algerian who is somehow useless. Meanwhile bale and Ronaldo completely made a mockery of themselves. I feel bad for Jese. And my respect for cr as a player is gone until he steps it up

Gareth Bale attended the Sanitas La Moraleja clinic to undergo medical tests after receiving a heavy blow to his right big toe during the game in Gijón.

Real Madrid have acted quickly to rule out a serious injury. The Welshman had an X-ray on the affected area and thankfully it did not reveal any broken bones.
This means that Bale will be available to Rafa Benítez for next Saturday's game against Betis.
