Not really because it's an extension based on next years cap and the Derrick Rose rule.

He's getting 145m over 5 years which no one else in the league is getting for at least a couple of years, by the time he can be a free agent again he'll get something ridiculous anyway.

Everythung seems like he wasn't impressed with our basketball analytics. Nothing to do with Kobe. Our team is way too unproven at the moment, and he probably don't want to risk his prime on unproven talents. Kobe said they could've had a great P&R combo like he had with Pau.

Seems like the lack of basketball focus in the pitch hurt us. Of course...

He just tweeted that Phoenix have closed the gap on Spurs for LMA...if he goes to Spurs and they're at worst the third best team in the league...Might be that Aldridge wants to hear everyone out, but I'd be stunned if he chose the Suns over the Spurs who also would have ridiculous depth...

I thought they would at least snag Monroe and one of Love, LMA or Cousins each.

Though I can obviously understand why nobody wants to go to either, there is just too much work to do.

Now Miami is trying to get LMA. He's having dinner with Pat Riley in LA. I have no idea how would get the cap for him though with Dragic and Wade, seems like they would have to dump Deng, McRoberts and Chalmers.

Why would you even want Bosh and LMA on the same team? Doing basically the same thing.

Obviously LMA is a better post up player, can score on the block and with his back to the basket...but its really his jumper which hurts you the most.

We're probably trying to avoid bad contracts until next year when we prob have the most cap space in the league. We can prob get like 3 max players. KD is not happening though.
Our best choice is for our young guys to explode. No one wants to play with a team without a great roster. Clarkson is the only somewhat proven as of now.

I'm hopeful though, most exciting team in years, in terms of wanting to watch them play. Watching us when we had howard was like a chore.

Monroe getting the max isn't a bad deal by next summer(his max is ~16m) he did average 20/13 when he played center.

If he waited he probably is the Spurs plan B though, obv much better situation than Milwaukee

I don't disagree but if you are the Lakers and you are refusing to overpay because you are waiting for 2016 and 17' like Freeza said then you don't give Monroe the max lol.
