I never seen Rodman like that really...im really not sure. He to me was just a truly elite role player. Maybe its because he played with Thomas and Dumars then Jordan and Pippen (and even Shaq and Kobe after that) that you could only even consider him a third wheel no matter what but I dunno...its a bit like can we consider Ben Wallace an all time great?

I think if you start a team from scratch, and you had the first pick...you might not pick Rodman over alot of guys we wouldnt even dream of naming in this discussion (Shawn Kemp, Derrick Coleman, Rasheed Wallace, Jermaine O Neal that year he scored 50 something points, Amare that year he averaged 25 a game).

If you already have Jordan and Pippen then yeah, you probably pick him over any of these guys easily.

Fine with not getting Monroe, If we get Lopez. I'd rather have him. Better defender and will likely cost less. Still really young too.

After that maybe flip for David Lees expiring

I read earlier that Rondo wanted a shooter which is why they signed Belinelli. Also said that Rondo will play with Collison, which seems to imply to me that Gay will play 4.

I think Cauley Stein will start and they'll play Gay at the 3.

But that is a VERY talented starting lineup with some solid role players in Collision and Evans. Although there's a bit of turmoil between Cousins and Karl, thus team does have the talent to make noise...not sure they have the strategic discipline to put it to use though

WCS will definitely start. He'll be the main anchor defensively on that team. WCS can play at the 4 or at the 5, don't matter. It also means Boogie doesn't have to exert much energy on defense. Gay will stay at 3, I think. So I imagine Bellinelli is brought to start at the 2.

Don't think Collison starts because both him and Rondo need the ball. To succeed here Rondo really needs to be running the show on the ball. You have him next to a shooter like Bellinelli and it might work.

I completely forgot about Cauley Stein, only reason I assumed what I said is because what I read is they plan to play Rondo with Collison and he asked for Bellineli so it was the only way it made sense.
