Am I the only one who thinks Utah's young talent is being a bit overrated?

I've seen them mentioned with teams like Minny. Don't see it.

Gobert = legit. Perennial DPOY candidate
Hayward = legit. But not a #1, not even sure he's a #2 on a contender.
Exum = still up in the air, but likely not a franchise player imo. Napier, taken at 25, had better numbers across the board and in less minutes.
Favors = I swear this guy has been 22 for a decade.
Burks = dime a dozen SG
Hood = Like his game, will be better than Burks if he gets the mins
Burke =
Trey Lyles = looks good in SL fwtw

Gobert isn't just legit, best young inside defender in the game. Will be DPoTY at least one time. But other than Hayward and Favors, I don't really think they're all that. But Gobert can be amazing defensively, if he gets one or two moves offensively that he can go to, he'll be a great great player.

Have thought the same about Favors, he has been young forever. Feels like he's been in the league as long as KG

Aye you are basically looking at Hayward, Gobert and Favors. Gobert is fantastic though which does give them an edge that other young teams don't really have.

It's alright being an athletic shockblocker who changes ends of the floor but Gobert is genuinely an anchor and rarely gives up position.

Lyles could be something. Had his game limited at Kentucky playing with Towns and Cauley-Stein. He's intriguing.

I think coaches like him because he is steady on both ends. Also they really need shooting and he brings it.

He definitely will to start, but by the end not so sure. He's played 80+ games twice in his career. Also Napier shot 36% from 3pt, and I think he can do a bit better than that. He played with a sports hernia which messed up his play before it eventually ended his season.

He was actually playing really well up until December. Leading the team in 3pt shooting at 41% and +/- fwtw("Miami has outscored teams by 24 with Napier playing, best on the team. (Starter Norris Cole, conversely, is a minus-40").

I don't think Watson has ever really been a PG, really also. Napier is a traditional PG. Can see a guy like Scott Skiles prefering Napier.
