Re: Summer Transfer Window 2015 - Pt.2
Work permit issues affects these type transfers unless these guys have been studying in the UK right?
Wasn't the actual rule something like top 25 World ranking or 75% of last years NT's games to obtain a work permit for a foreigner outside the European Union.

funny how that works. we have thousands of Africans in this country that have no work permits and don't even work. they live in free houses and claim dole money. but football players that come here and work pay plenty in tax have to have a permit.Nishy wrote:Work permit issues affects these type transfers unless these guys have been studying in the UK right?

That's signing for senior players. You have to be good or proven enough to get a work permit. When signing under 18-yo's, it is something like it's permitted only if their family was naturally moving to that country or something like that. But it should be forbidden if you just poach under 18's from their home country for the sake of football.

I disagree, They should develop this area and incorporate proper education also in this so that the kid has enough options if his dream career goes down south.
Its a dream for these kids to go abroad to play the sport that they love at such a young age.

The rule, I believe, has to do with their parents. You can't have them come over alone without their parents having work in the country, or something like that. IIRC.

I have seem him exactly twice ! I liked him and later realised that he is also little hyped !
It would be an awesome young talent to sign, but as Nish said I highly doubt whether he would come to us !

Adama Traore would be a weird signing. He's not going to play for the first team, and we already have a bunch of wingers with immense upside to accommodate.

He is a great talent and could be a great asset. Starting or not, he deserves opportunity to blossom and prove himself.Unique wrote:trust me when I tell you markovic will not hold down a starting place at Liverpool. he is the same as di maria. no back bone.iftikhar wrote:and there's the small issue of Markovic tooNishy wrote:Latest reports say we are in for Adama Traore, Its too good to be true. I don't think it's media crap. RAC1 is reporting it which is one of the more reliable Barcelona sources similar to Liverpool Echo for you guys:
Liverpool asked to sign B winger Adama (19) on loan. Barcelona didn't yet make a decision on his future. Several clubs interested. [rac1]

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2015 - Pt.2
The possibility of a transfer is definitely there from a Barca point of view. Barca B got relegated to 3th division last season. Some of the more hyped names (Adama belongs to that list) might consider a move away from Barca to a team in the first division, be it on loan or completely sold. Adama in particular is playing positions that are currently occupied by Messi and Neymar and won't be vacant for quite a while. He wasn't even invited to the preseason tour right now. Chances that he'll make it at Barca are slim. He's been linked away from the club not just by one source. There are also reports about Pep wanting him at Bayern. There seems to be something in it if you ask me.
As a player it's hard to tell what he'll become. He's quick as hell and very powerful, especially for his age and he dribbles a lot. He's more of a real winger than an inside forward or wide midfielder. Not sure he's got the game intelligence in terms of making use of his teammates, passing etc. It's really unpredictable with these type of wingers. He might grow a brain at some point to add to his physical gifts and become a great player. He could also not and become something like Walcott. Frankly, I can't tell you more than this video either:
And yes, Alex Song is available.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2015 - Pt.2
Thanks a lot.
A majority of the Liverpool fans feel this signing is redundant and he would do well at some other club that does not have a plethora of young wingers arguably for one position.
