Solid hit-out for us. It was a good opportunity to test some things out. I like Ely, Niang and Calabria from our youngsters and I'd particularly like to see Ely as a starter at CB next to Romagnoli (if we get him). Calabria is a good WB option in the mix with De Sciglio and Abate. De Jong and Montolivo are very solid, but Bertolacci hasn't put his best foot forward yet. Honda isn't fantastic, but he'll be a serviceable TQ. Niang will be a great option off the bench. Bacca and LA will need time to settle, but it's obvious that they bring quality that our other strikers lack. Good to see young Donnarumma in goals too.

Well pre-season or not you can tell a lot by a players body language on the ball. I had not seemn him at Porto, but he is not comfortable on the ball at all.
He can't pass to save his life and he can't even get a cross into the box lol. Carvajal looks superior to him in every aspect.

Pre season means *bleep* all tbh, can't believe you paying attention to it all. I haven't watched a single second of my team play.

It means nothing i realised that when the season we finished 5th our pre season consisted of losing to 3rd division teams from Canada rofl

lol everyone on the team has played 3 games and at the very least you can compare Danilo to the others. I wouldn't have cared if we had lost to Milan. I wasn't interested in the result. This is Danilo's first audition. He is giving it his all regardless.
I thought that Danilo was a lot more technically refined. He just doesn't have it. rofl

How is Danilo defensively? He has yet to be really tested. I can't comment on that tbf.

Meh really.

Look organised and keeping the ball well and probably edged it on chances but it's more than i expected.

Considering Perez, Aarons, De Jong, Mitrovic, Mbemba etc etc are all on the bench.

It's been better than i expected considering we are starting Wijnaldum behind Cisse, Obertan, Colback etc etc.

Hoping we bring on some more of the talented players off the bench and create a bit more.
