Angel Di Maria's move to PSG a step up from Man United - Thiago Silva

Silva said the Ligue 1 champions only trail Real Madrid and Barcelona among Europe's elite clubs, adding that Di Maria's transfer is evidence of PSG's growth.

"People now respect PSG as one of the big clubs in Europe," Silva said during a news conference. "Real Madrid and Barcelona are probably at another level, but after that if you sign for PSG you are probably taking a step up."

I'd go as far as Man Utd will win a CL before PSG do. Not sure when it'll materialize though.

They maybe will, but until they prove otherwise as they have been out of the CL picture for a while they are inferior.

It is a fact that every team in France except PSG are losing their best players left, right and center, while Man United pretty much keep every player they want and sign most they fancy.

Man Utd: Final, Went Out in Groupstage, R16, QF, not in CL
PSG: not in CL, not in CL, QF, R16, QF

I don't care about the last 5 CLs tbh

I care about the last one and PSG beat the English champions while losing to the eventual winners, while Man Yoo were not even in the competition.

So until they prove otherwise PSG are better than them as last season proved, who honestly cares about anything other than the previous/current season lol.

Didn't think it through, what I meant that PSG's domestic competition are losing their best players while Man United's domestic rivals strengthen themselves. PSG are the easiest top club to go to right now, even if you don't do great in Europe, you've got a massive upper hand in your own league.

People get too salty over these things. What does being a bigger club even mean? Bar Barcelona and Madrid (perhaps Bayern Catalonia), it's all down to preference and other factors. PSG at this moment in time are in a far better situation and financially they can match any club and Paris is a much better City to live in than Manchester.


Liverpool are a 'bigger' club than Arsenal yet their star player was willing to leave them for Arsenal and Sanchez rejected them for Arsenal. Does that mean Arsenal are bigger because they can draw better players? You get my point.

They made quarters that year too.

PSG are the better team right now, have more money and better players will go there right now. They have a much better chance of winning CL than United do.

Fans from the traditional clubs get butthurt when they see a PSG, Chelsea, City etc because they are a threat . It's like they think their clubs should be obligated to be one of the top teams always and win trophies consistently and any new teams and new competition is such a bad thing.

^^rare to see such a calm, objective united fan ...agree player wise and as a team PSG are much stronger imo. Who gives a damn about history ffs...5 years ago juve were in the wilderness...10 years ago milan was the strongest team in europe.
