Also Rome Just finished it yesterday, don't know why avoided it for so long. Might even rewatch I, Clavdivs...Love Roman history.
Mad Men is one of the best series ever and it just ended.

Justified it is then, followed by Mad Men, already on download
Was about to go with Deadwood, but then I read it got canceled and the ending is disappointing because of that...

Yeah I'll back up Deadwood as well. Loved it. It has one of the greatest TV characters of all time in it. So certainly worth a watch.

If you are not talking about Al Swearengen you are doing it wrong imo.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 4
Netflix should make a Rome-like show. Take it from the Gaelic wars to the Ides of March and through the transition from senate to dictatorship, there's enough material there for 15 seasons. That entire 2nd season on the HBO show was waaaay too rushed.Vibe wrote:Are there any great TV shows that recently ended? I only accept binge watching.

I'm not sure if it's been posted here yet but Black Mirror has signed with Netflix for multiple seasons.

I am just worried that Black Mirror has become mainstream and the developers might not be able to recapture the same imaginative and creative episodes as before.
But then it has British makers so it can't be lacking ideas.

might give it a go due to the hype, such a jobber though in terms of superheroes and the actor looks less threatening than prime nunzio

I never liked DD as a character either, but took me maybe 20 mins to realise the show was GOAT and >>>>>> anything else to do with hero's bar the Dark Bantz trilogy.

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 4
Rome's second season was rushed because the show runners found out it was being cancelled and they wanted to finish the story. It was a damn shame though since it was such a great show.
I'm also a huge fan of Deadwood. A lot of damn good actors in that.

Looks like a generic mystery/detective show with a twist.

Not sure I can buy in to what should be IDK like top 3 most powerful things in existence playing detective and going after human criminals. Either he's OP and it's pointless or he's not OP and it insults my intelligence

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 4
Perhaps its worth actually watching some of the show to see if they address such concerns, rather than writing it off without any real chance?
It's based off of an extremely well-considered comic series written by an award winning author. There might just be something to it.
