United are the richest club in the World they can afford this deal. If he turns out to be the next Henry, Anelka, Trezeguet, Benzema no one will bring up the transfer fee anymore.

HOWEVER, I can't shake the feeling that the next Henry, Anelka, Trezeguet or Benzema will not have grown to top class at a club throwing around 80m € for a kid on deadline day.

Gil is right in that, even though the money is stupid, Man yoo can comfortably afford it.

They do have a better team overall, but Martial is not a natural scorer so that's his challenge. He will have to become that

God, the EPL are so bad in the transfer market. I don't know if it's because they have the money to spend they just throw it away like an NFL player at a strip club.

Why on earth did it take United this long to figure out they need another striker? LVG never really liked Hernandez and they have no depth there.

There is like zero strategy behind there transfers, and Wenger was the one who was constantly killed in the transfer market. He's the only sane one left.

He's dead-on saying there is a lack of players that are truly class that can improve the squad THIS YEAR (although I thought he should have bought Kondogbia) so there not going to buy just to buy.

You can't expect a 19 year old to change your season for you or solve your issues at the striker position, the question is why on earth did it take United this long to buy a striker? I can't slam United too hard as worst case scenario they needed to get better and younger at the position but you have to think they could have done this deal months ago for half the money.
