Re: Thibuuuu: welcome to Madrid
lmao the butthurt in here
dem rose tinted glasses
"as a completely bias Madrid fan this is clearly all United's fault"
Madrid wanted De Gea all summer and didn't start negotiations until the final day
he is ours, it is your job to open discussions if you want the player...Madrid thought they could get some cut price by waiting it out and it back fired.
sure De Gea might come for free now but to say it is United's fault the transfer didn't get done is ridiculous. Bid last month and pay the asking price and he is yours, but you didn't you waited and waited.

Re: Thibuuuu: welcome to Madrid
well i mean Madrid was waiting on Man U to get the paperwork in... now i understand that Man U was also working on the Martial deal.. but it's not Madrid's responsibility to make sure that Man U are properly staffed to handle their deal flow
I don't see how you cannot blame Man U on this one. They just got overwhelmed with their deal flow on the last day and focused on the more important one for them... Martial.
Shows a lack of professionalism however.

Selling a player we don't want to sell wouldn't be a priority over signing a player we want. Just because it was inconvenient for Madrid it is our fault? such a arrogant lot you are.

Re: Thibuuuu: welcome to Madrid
You don't agree to a deal if you can't close it. Man U agreed to the deal.... is it Madrid's job to babysit them? If Man U couldn't handle the requirements of making the deal due to timing, they shouldn't have agreed to make the deal.
I mean, it's not that complicated It's like agreeing to sell a property but being unable to meet escrow deadlines for providing the necessary paperwork. Only difference is that, unless the buyer kills escrow, the deal is still on. In this case, you had a third part that could kill the deal and they did.

Re: Thibuuuu: welcome to Madrid
If Utd truly wanted to stall, why did they still attempt to submit the paper work on time?
I'm not siding with Utd here, I think both parties could have done more to get the deal done, but I don't think solely blaming Utd for stalling is entirely fair.

because they would get sued legally if they hadn't... would have shown bad faith negotiations. It's a legal ploy often used: Show just enough effort so that you're not found negligent.

@b-mac even a neutral fan can see what manu game was, no need to shed tears cause your club acted like muppets, and the fans are acting like some moral victory is in this .
"If we are lucky a club(muppets) with our prestige, history, money, etc, can force a player who had no prob chilling in the stands, waiting to leave, telling everybody goodbyes smiling and was basically sold off, will extend cause we're a big club and not desperate muppets who can't attract quality players, yay moral victory!!!"

Re: Thibuuuu: welcome to Madrid
I think both clubs are at fault, but RM is the one with the main problem. ManU stalled, but they have a reason, there was the Navas transfer and I presume they needed to know as much details as possible to submit the contract to RM. As he was stalling (with a reason, you don't want to make a sudden move and not take all the info into account) they had a nice alibi. What is RM's reason to submit the first bid to the player you want so badly during the last transfer day?
Weren't the RM fans proudly announcing that with uncle Flo it is easy as he pays the price when he wants the player?

haha, there is no way that ManUtd did not have enough staff to handle two deals at a time. Meh, we know examples of small clubs completing three or more deals on the single day or even in few hours. This seems all calculated and deliberate to me.

Madrid are the ones who *bleep* up Coentraos loan to us by not getting paper work in on time. Unprofessional club and all that

Re: Thibuuuu: welcome to Madrid
this is all he say-she say. but to be honest i think it was us that reneged. florentino probably didn't want to spend that kind of money (utd wanted a fee that trumps buffon's) when the free option was also available. i seriously doubt united would have done anything to damage the deal. think about it, they were going to get 35 million (between 29-35mill, i'm not too sure on the figure), as well as keylor navas. now i know utd are not desperate for money, but that's a damn good deal, to get that for a goalie, a goalie, a goalie with only a year left? and its not like keylor's some scrub, the deal's kinda disrespectful to him....i'm very sure utd would have handed all their paperwork in asap. i think flo just thought this one out and pulled the plug. especially considering the club have said they won't appeal....its sad for de gea and keylor, who had to be dragged through all this

Re: Thibuuuu: welcome to Madrid
i tell you what i know to be true. had madrid been trying to buy rooney for £60mil man u would have made sure the deal was done on time. and if messi was up for sale at £80mil mardid would of had the deal done 20 minutes after the transfer window opened. tbh. both clubs were not bothered if the deal was done or not.

I think Madrid (Perez) is the one who backed out. I don't think this "brilliant" buisness man wanted to pay that much money plus Navas for DDG who got 1 year left on his contract.Helmer wrote:haha, there is no way that ManUtd did not have enough staff to handle two deals at a time. Re: Thibuuuu: welcome to Madrid
i dont know what you read. but i know what i typed. my point is if both clubs or any of the clubs wanted the deal to be done it would have. do you think if man u had the chance to get crazy money for a player they didnt want they would have not pushed the deal through. and if madrid had the chance to sign messi they would have left it till the last day of the transfer window. no chance.LeVersacci wrote:WTH did I just read lmaoUnique wrote:i tell you what i know to be true. had madrid been trying to buy rooney for £60mil man u would have made sure the deal was done on time. and if messi was up for sale at £80mil mardid would of had the deal done 20 minutes after the transfer window opened. tbh. both clubs were not bothered if the deal was done or not.

Re: Thibuuuu: welcome to Madrid
This was planned by both teams
United delayed sending papers and blame Madrid in the hope of convincing DDG we aren't desperate and should sign an extension
Madrid dragged their heels and blame United in the hope of convincing DDG of signing with us for free next season and not United/Barca
In the end two players were both used and tossed away like their feelings did not matter

Yeah. I think it's more of a mistake on Utd's part. They purposely only started holding talks in the closing day/s so there was a possibility of the deal not going through. Not sure though what they tried to achieve, more so if DDG keeps warming up the bench/stands.

What they achieved is that their best player of last season will be staying for another season, which suits them perfectly since Sergio Romero has yet to impress anyone, and bringing Navas in would be a gamble considering they have no reliable backup in case he doesn't fit in.

Re: Thibuuuu: welcome to Madrid
They could have achieved that pretty easily by declaring 3 months ago that De Gea would have to stay.
Then De Gea would actually be able to PLAY for them now, which he wasn't so far due to the drama.
So you've got to laugh at Utd fans trying to convince themselves that this circus has been some great chess move by Woodward.

Re: Thibuuuu: welcome to Madrid
Yeah but for now LVG isolated him and I think Romero will keep starting even though he lets some questionable goals past him.
Unless those higher in the hierarchy demand DDG to start then LVG will keep rolling in his delusion.
