Shooter was a 19 year old kid who went to Nevada (where it's legal to buy guns under the age of 21, it's illegal in California) and bought the gun used in this killing. He was of Italian-Iranian descent, his IG posts indicate he held white-supremacist views as well as holocaust denial.

One of those he killed was just 6 years old.

This is a textbook reason for having federal gun laws. The states have failed to protect people from shit like this. Now the federal gov't needs to step in.

Of course, the NRA-controlled GOP Senate won't let that happen. It took a force of nature (read: John Stewart) to get them to pass legislation for 9/11 first responders.

We're fucked.

I'm surprised this is not a bigger deal in the news cycle. Kinda shows how much we have internalized it.

Also, a thing like white suprematism doesn't follow logic or common sense, and immigrants or descendants of immigrants may in some weird cases identify with a suprematist view of the group they try to belong to, or other bizarre alliances.

really. So would you call Harris and klebold terrorists.  The guy was not part of any terror group he was another crazy fucker that went crazy with a gun. He had a political motive. He wanted to spread fear against Hispanic people so they won't come to the US and so the ones already there are afraid to go out. It's the most clear cut act of terrorism you could ever want.

If a muslim would have shot white or christian people to spread fear, which has happened before, we would also call it terrorism, as Viva has done before.
