Don't really mind Del Rio returning as a midcarder. Reminds me of the goat era we had a few years ago with the cast of him, R-Truth, Miz, Punk, Bryan etc. Better than the current dark ages with Rollins as champ. Just as long as he doesn't get a superman push. Not off to a good start though, beating Cena clean in 10 mins with a standard superkick. Laughing

Watched bits and pieces of RAW. That was the best RAW in months even though the culmination was predictable as hell. I really want to like Reigns but just can't get behind him with the booking he has. We all rage about Cena but think, did Reigns EVER lose clean? Wyatt just jobbed to him, he wins every match and the few he loses it's never clean. Why does Vince and Co think that being superman is how to book a top face?

I don't think Reigns will ever be accepted as the next one. He has the Cena 2.0 stain on him, and a lot of fans can see through that and after a decade of Cena, they don't want another one Laughing

Cena got over organically, had a gimmick, mic skills and wasn't superman prior to his first title win. He was never forced into the top spot.

Reigns needs to turn heel, drop the shield act and work on a new character in the midcard. With that his mic skills will also improve because he'll actually have a purpose. Right now he's just that guy from the shield who's just being himself.

What I hate about the reality era is that everybody is just themselves. I mean seriously, why would people watch WWE to see a bunch of average joe personalities? Casual fans want larger than life characters with charisma.

Yea well, Hogan didnt loose clean as a face, Austin didn't lose clean as a face, Cena doesnt lose clean as a face (except when he's about to leave for a while) and Reign will not lose clean as a face. That's the WWE (vince) way. We dont complain about Austin because we were kids then and we are nostalgic now, and because Austin is/was entertaining as *bleep*.

They were all booked like that after they got organically over with all audiences. Austin was IC champ, Rock was IC champ, Cena was US champ etc. The way they are pushing Reigns he is being pushed directly to the top and we are supposed to get behind him why, because he wins all the time and looks like Khal Drogo?

I hope he wins at Survivor Series. He is gonna get an amazing pop. If he wins the Rumble again he's gonna get booed out of the building.

Lol Reigns hasn't been in title contention since losing to Brock at WM lol.

The way you took you would think he hadn't gone back to the mid card ever since, the hate is hilarious.

He's not even bad in the ring either anymore, his match with Bray at HIAC was match of the night and you would agree if you weren't so salty.

I would like to hear who else that should be facing Rollins at the next PPV? can't wait to see him win it and the tears to flow.

SuperHuman face booking has no place in 2015, it's supposed to be a long story playing out. But why would I or anybody over the age of 5 invest in a 'story' about a babyface rising to the top when along the way he obliterates anybody who gets in his way

I want Reigns to win at Survivor Series lol. And no while his match with Bray was good, Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar was better. Also a feud with Bray Wyatt that has a freakin Hell In A Cell match is not midcard. Anything other than the WWE title is not midcard. I just think he needed to spend some time in the midcard where he loses some, wins most and build himself up more to be organically over rather than just being Superman every since Shield breakup.

Not been in title contention, he had a title match at Payback Laughing

Reigns vs Rollins is perfect for Survivor Series but the booking behind Reigns is too OP. You know he is either gonna win or get screwed. Like last RAW, one could see from a mile away that Reigns was gonna win even though the match was amazing. Maybe if he lost to Bray Wyatt there would have been a few doubts. His booking make things very predictable and less enjoyable for fans.

Horrible news. Rollins was the greatest champion ever, the ratings were at an all time high and everyone from around the globe was tuning in to RAW every week to watch him. Was expecting him to hold it for another 5 years. He'll be sorely missed. Sad

It's not his fault, it's just he was never good enough to be World champ in the first place. In the past 5 years there's always been something in the main event to carry the show since the rest of the show usually sucks. Punk, Bryan, Rock or Lesnar etc. Rollins isn't good enough to carry the show and that's why the products been totally shit this year. There's nothing special about him, he's just a generic midcard heel.

Having good matches means nothing. That's what the indys are there for, to have good matches. People want larger than life characters with charisma or something controversial when it comes to WWE, none of which Rollins provided.

It's not really Rollins fault at the end of the day that he was put in the spot. Ideally, he along with Reigns would have been built up gradually through the midcard, Rollins as a face and Reigns as a heel. Neither happened and both flopped.

Anyway once he recovers hopefully he returns as a face.

As noted earlier, WWE announced that Seth Rollins will not be able to defend the World Heavyweight Championship title against Roman Reigns at Survivor Series event due to suffering an injury at Wednesday's WWE Live Event. Instead, a tournament to determine a new champion will be held.

Dave Meltzer speculated on today's installment of Wrestling Observer Live that Roman Reigns is a strong candidate to capture the WWE title at Survivor Series. Meltzer also talked about the company possibly bringing back John Cena or Brock Lesnar earlier than scheduled.

In regards to Sheamus capturing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, he said it's not very likely.
