Every year it's just the same crap.
Norwich are totally winning this btw. We've lost our way.

It was a difficult chance, did well to even have that good a shot off.
But anyway, we got a lucky win and Arsenal only drew at Norwich, this was a good day

Tbh the league is just crap this year. The final points total for whoever wins it is probably going to be lower than it has been for a while.

Just seen Hans post, why should fans accept mediocrity and life in the past? If Rooney isn't up to it no more then he should be criticized for it.
No amount of past performances should make them ignore that, you can't hold on to the past for ever. Eventually you have to move on and respect the players for what they did but put them down like the proverbial old dog lol.
Those that don't stay mediocre and can't move on.

That's not what I'm saying though.
I'm not the one claiming Rooney needs to play every week, that is van Gaal.
Makes no sense whatsoever to criticize Rooney for continuing to be selected, but pretending van Gaal is suffering for it. It's van Gaal's decision, not like he didn't let van Persie, Chickpea, Welbeck and Falcao go while having a billion to spend every window.
But yeah, abusing Rooney is the way to go.
Rooney also didn't give himself a 300k+ p.w. 5 year contract while he was visibly on the decline, that was Ed.
I'm just saying, he has served the club well, been there for over a decade, was instrumental in loads of titles including CL.
A bit of respect could be expected, no? Even if you don't think he's good enough anymore.
The way Utd fans are piling on on him is pretty astounding, and it shows ingratitude and entitlement.
For me, Rooney was a fantastic, true world class player until he got injured in the CL quarters against us 2010.
To me it felt he's never been the same since, though I can't claim to have watched United regularly before and since.

Re: Barclay's Premier League '15-'16 discussion V6
Don't disagree but what do you expect the fans to do? They can't force Van Gaal to drop him and to be frank he's like a noose around the clubs neck. He won't leave because he's on 300k a week and they are forced to use him despite being much better off without him.
So they are pretty much stuck with him, i'm sure most fans respect what he has done for the club but as of right now he's not helping them at all so i understand their frustration.
Let me put it to you like this, if Bayern kept Schweignsteiger and eventually he got the point where he's keeping better players ( at that point) from playing and he's noticeably not helping the team while being on a wage which isn't sustainable for a bench player.
How would you feel about that? obviously it's hard because he's a legend but eventually there becomes a stage where you have to let him go and start a new. ( something Milan struggled to do and look where they are now) Get the feeling that Man Yoo want to do this, the fans want to do this but they can't because of the circumstances i mentioned.
Obviously Schweignsteiger would never do that because he's not that type of guy ( do think in the back of his mind it's one of the reasons he left) but just an example, it seems harsh but eventually irrelevant of respect you have to let go. Unfortunately Man Yoo can't even if they want to and that's the issue here, so i definitely understand the attitude of Man Yoo fans to him in this situation.

Re: Barclay's Premier League '15-'16 discussion V6
Don't know why people have been claiming Rooney hasn't been great since 2010 or anything. IMO I've only really seen a big decline in the last season, probably two.
Before that he's still been a great player for United if not as good as he was.
Chelsea didn't really want to win today, but I'm alright with a draw. Gives Spurs their longest unbeaten run in history, avoiding a loss to Chelsea is good for keeping momentum going and picking up a point against them, while not ideal in their current form, is something that I think Spurs should be alright with. It's not like the Arsenal game where Tottenham should have taken it, Spurs were frustrated and looked tired, and never really got going. Had a weaker line up due to Lamela not starting and Dele Alli being injured, so I think all things considered it's not a bad result.

Arsenal are so serioulsy nuts...I mean why should it be difficult for a team with so much attacking talent to get two goals to win it 2-1 or manage to do it 1-0 for once !
