Re: Barclay's Premier League '15-'16 discussion V6
I have an honest question guys.
Are we overrating certain players for the sake of the hype at times? I'll give an example to clear any confusion
Jamie Vardy - Came from almost non professional football and is scoring for fun
Riyad Mahrez - played in the 2nd division of french football and is now tearing it up
Chris Smalling is a good mention too
Meanwhile the likes of Hazard, the so-called great players of the premier league are showing their true colors.
I feel like these lesser known players should be scouted more often. They are out there, they're cheap, and they'll die for the team, as opposed to some self-righteous primadona whos been overrated by the media.
As a former semi player (stopped to focus on my studies.. footy in the US is complete crap), I can tell you the actual gap in individual quality between the bottom and the top is not big.. its much smaller then you think.

Funny how they split when shit hits the fan but us Arsenal fans have taken that shit right in the face, through the eyes, ears and right in the nostrils for many years.

Of course that happens. It's all about consistency. Hazard, for example, has done enough to show he belongs in the top level. Someone like Michu was a one season wonder. Some players, like Diego Costa, are in the grey area, have they done enough to be considered certainly good or have they just been lucky. But it's just normal that players get hyped up, but only time will tell who actually was worth the hype. Obviously not everyone will be.
As for someone like Vardy, he needs to do this again next season to be considered truly good. I mean, he scored 5 goals last season, in 34 games.

Tbh I haven't posted much in the Chelsea section this year even when we won the league last season because I simply lost that interest of posting daily on goallegacy altho I do log to lurk from times to times.
Plus this season, meh. It just feels like repeating myself over and over again

Getting a bit worried that McClaren is going to react to their current predicament by going for all-out defense. He's already talked about changing up the starting XI so I wouldn't be surprised to see 6 or 7 defenders with a bank of 4 just ahead of a back 5. As good as we've played away from home under Klopp, it's come from having space to exploit when the home sides attacked. Without that, we could potentially be frustrated as we still struggle to break down sides and create goals when the onus is on us, as seen against Swansea.

Thats why we need an early goal, hopefully we can break them down, will be a good test if its 11 behind the ball today.

I would say in our games, it doesnt matter which side the first goal goes IN, our players always play better after the first goal

We can't defend, regardless if we have 2 defenders or twenty. This is good thing for you as he's benching all our good players ( not many of them mind) for defenders just to sit back and watch wave after wave of attack go through them.

Yeah, this is true, it's been our long-time problem - pretty much ever since Suarez left - that we've struggled to break down ultra-defensive teams. We're already great on the counter under Klopp, but this is the real test, can we score against teams who play for the draw.

I'm glad to see Ayoze isn't starting.
But Mole, our Lucas Allen Milner midfield isn't exactly scary. I think it'll be tight.

Liverpool have averaged 6.9km more and 84 sprints more per game under Jurgen Klopp than Brendan Rodgers in the top-flight this season.
