Re: Barclay's Premier League '15-'16 discussion V6
Oh by the way I made this claim in a different thread, but I'd like to bring it up for discussion here.
Has Dembele been one of the best CM's in the PL this season? The dude is absolutely unplayable right now. What he's been doing to teams has been unfair. Since he's been slotted back into the team he's arguably been Tottenham's best player.
He's always had so much potential but other than the first half of AVB's tenure (when him and Sandro were beasting it in Spurs longest unbeaten wrong, now tied), he's been inconsistent. Injuries have played a big part, and still are, but regardless he seems to be finally playing up to his potential.
Anybody that has been watching Spurs right now I think could confidently say that he has been one of the best CM's. Absolutely love watching him play right now.

I was going to say "not one of the best, but he's been good", but then I got to thinking who have been better? Who really are the stand out CMs so far? I can only think of Fernandinho and Yaya, maybe Cabaye and Cazorla at a push. But there haven't been many stand out CMs at all, imo. So, I suppose you could say Dembele has been among the best, although the field is very even right now.
And he's always had the talent, but he's got that gift of managing to look lazy even when he's not. Must be that facial expression of his. Now that he's getting chances to play again, he's showing what he can do.

Easy for Henderson to step back in and be the best CM in the PL when he's healthy, at this point.

Personally I don't care about 'our fans are better than yours' arguments, but because YOLO, here's the results of the Telegraph's readers voting when asked about the least and most passionate fans of the Prem clubs. In order from the least passionate:
Chelsea
Arsenal
Man City
Man United
Aston Villa
West Brom
Southampton
Norwich
Watford
Swansea
Newcastle
Tottenham
Bournemouth
Liverpool
Crystal Palace
Stoke City
Everton
West Ham
Leicester
Sunderland

Seems obvious to me that the bigger clubs would have more casuals and thus be less passionate.

Surprised we are that low, but then i remembered that no one gives a shit anymore and gave into Ashley based self-defeatism a long time ago.

Anyways, come to Africa that's where you'll find the hardcore fans of the big teams. Especially Nigeria for Arsenal fans.
Although I don't really know if United has that much hardcore fans

I still don't understand how we chose LUIS ALBERTO over Eriksen ffs.
The best number 10 in the league atm. Won't be surprised if he, along with Kane, help push on a successful year for them.

Yes he is. Who's been better?
Silva's missed half the season.
Ozil has a few "good" games, but they've not been consistent throughout the season.
Coutinho is in the same boat as Ozil...

Re: Barclay's Premier League '15-'16 discussion V6
Ozil has been the best so far this year.
Eriksen would have been an amazing signing though. Always been a big fan of his.
That said Coutinho has the ability to be better than any of them (Ozil, Silva, Eriksen) if he can be consistent. He just has the best package, and IMO, the best mentality. Consistency is lacking though.

Surely you are joking here.
Özil has been miles ahead this season. Don't let the one off losses fool you - that's more to do with half the starters around him being injured. He has even been majestic in big games, which was a big criticism last years.
And I know you guys rate Coutinho - I do too. But to put him on the same boat? Or even talking about more ability - that's a bit subjective, and exaggerated.
