The Nice Guys

8/10. Hilarious movie. A lot of whores, porn, drugs, and stuff in it.

Would definitely recommend.

The Social Network (2010)

Can definitely see why you guys were hyping it. Amazing film. One of Fincher's best as well and it's weird since this wasn't his style at all. He is multi-talented for sure. Doesn't make a bad film at all doesn't matter what genre.

Man I really disliked Mark Zuckerberg. Can't imagine if anyone liked him. Jesse Eisenburg did great playing him. But Andrew Garfield was probably the best performance in the film. Even Justin Timberlake did well as a douche.

I'd rate it 8.3/10
---------------------------
Now the tough decision to rank all of Fincher films. Is it worth watching the curious case of benjamin button?

Without watching that. I'd list this as the complete final ranking

1) Se7en
2) Zodiac
3) The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo/The Social Network
4) The Social Network/The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
5) Gone Girl/The Game
6) The Game/Gone Girl
7) Panic Room
8 ) Fightclub

Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons is good. Not the same style as the others. More of a straight up drama.

Yeah I'd recommend anything by Fincher. Haven't seen it in 5 years though. Don't know if the CGI holds up.

Nah please do. I'm legit curious as to why you disliked it and think its Fincher's worst movie. You won't be flamed by anyone, its just your opinion.

Hmm so the guys behind Ocean's 11 are rebooting it with an all-female cast: Sandra Bullock will play George Clooney's ex-con sister, Cate Blanchett is her right-hand woman (basically Brad Pitt's role) and then there's the rest of the cast of Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Helena Bonham Carter, Rihanna and Awkwafina (never heard of her Laughing). There's been rumors that Elizabeth Banks will appear as well, but she hasn't been announced.

Steven Soderbergh will produce, not direct (that's Gary Ross). Inevitable rumors of some of the cast from Clooney's Ocean to make cameos.

-------------------

Not high on Bullock at all as a leading lady and I think that should be Blanchett. I really like the Bonham-Carter casting and I actually think Mindy Kaling is a good one as well. I am indifferent to Hathaway. I have no clue who Awkwafina is so I won't go in on her, but Rihanna?.....really takes the shine off that group of talent.

I don't like capers honestly, but I found this news interesting. I personally don't have too many issues with all-female reboots (though Ghostbusters was atrocious imo) so this will probably be worth a download whenever it's down with its theatre run.

Other noteworthy news:

- Jason Momoa up for the Crow remake.

- Antoine Fuqua turns his attention away from the Magnificent Seven reboot to begin work on rebooting Scarface. The setting will be (unsurprisingly) Los Angeles.

- Patrick Stewart is apparently ready to retire as Professor X after the last Wolverine movie.

- J. Lo in talks to play Griselda Blanco, the most powerful female drug cartel leader of all time. I can't even....Laughing

I just don't understand why you would reboot something just to give all females the lead roles. I'm not against it, but it seems so obviously marketed to feminism and it has to stand up to the original as well. Due to its very obvious "we love females here are some big roles go feminism" vibe and those expectations of the original, every actress is already starting out behind because there will be a horde of people trying to downplay both the movies and actresses in it.

You might argue that would happen in any all female cast, but I just think that developing a completely new story for a female cast like that would be superior. Clean slate, no expectations and not quite as obvious of a feminist play (though still clearly one). That being said, I just don't really get the idea of rebooting and making all of the characters female. Seems lazy to me.

Guess I'm just kinda annoyed with how lazy Hollywood has gotten. Reboots and sequels seem to be everywhere. Complete oversaturation of the market with super hero movies as well. Just saw Suicide Squad today. It was amazing to see how I came in with very low expectations and still thought it was one of the more shit movies I've seen in quite a while.

I went in just looking for an entertaining, fun time and came away being stunned by how comically bad most of it was. Margot Robbie was the sole light, and that ass ffs. Jared Leto I like but man, he showed that it's going to be incredibly difficult for anyone to follow up Heath Ledgers joker.

The more time that goes by the more I appreciate how insane Ledger's performance was tbh. I don't care if it was a comic book movie, it doesn't take anything away from that being one of the better performances I've seen in the last decade. But that's enough of a rant for tonight

It isn't because of feminism or anything like that.

Their doing the movie because they want to make a heist film with a female cast for once. They're isn't the Ocean name because people don't want to pay for something they've never heard of. So I like this sequel. Don't mind female reboots. Women are severely underrepresented in films, this is the only way to change that when people don't want to pay for original films.
