Cottonmouth is *bleep* amazing. Mah n had me in tears so many times and i've only finished ep 5

EP5 banter
Spoiler:
"This nigga is half houdini half Ali?"
Had me on the floor after that rofl

Already prefer Luke Cage over JJ. I hated the supporting cast, especially the twins even though JJ & Barty Crouch, Jr Killgrave was goat it wasn't enough to put it over LC.

So far DD1 > DD2 (thanks to The Punisher) > LC > JJ

imo

end of show

Spoiler:
Finished watching it really enjoyed it but giving it a 7.5/10 because the GOAT cottonmouth died way too quickly imo and I couldn't give a rats ass about his cousin councilwoman. And they done a better job of building diamondback up than they did presenting him.

I got poverty William Fisk undertones from it, shady personal assistant guy mentions his name occasionally showing how important he is etc but the end product was crap. Didn't like his entire beef with LC was one giant daddy/mommy issue that was crap. Would have preferred Cottonmouth killing off Willis and getting hold of his tech or something

Basically, show was a solid 8/8.5 until Remy Danton AKA Cornell Stokes died.

Spoiler:

I am not gonna lie. When Diamondback was first introduced, I thought it was the guy from prison who used to beat Luke up with Shades Laughing

I was underwhelmed by his introduction.

Cottonmouth was so entertaining. Even makes you root for him sometimes lol.

This scene had me in stitches

Best scene in the show for me Proud......Cottonmouth looks so much like my grandpa when he was that age.

Diamondback should've stayed in the shadows and played puppetmaster a little longer. He just didn't have enough depth to him.

Problem with Diamondback was that he was initially talked about as a mafia boss like kingpin was as Tom mentioned. But his introduction was as a soldier and it just didn't match. I know why they did it that way since it was personal between him and Cage but they could have build him better.

There was a lot of foreshadowing for Heroes For Hire. I'm guessing they are gonna combine Luke Cage and Iron Fist to Heroes For Hire soon. With Punisher already filming, it looks like we will get Punisher next year at the time Luke Cage aired this year and Defenders at the end of the year. After I'm guessing comes JJ season 2, Daredevil season 3 and Heroes For Hire.

Do you guys think we will ever see a MCU character make a cameo in one of these shows?

More chance of the other way around though.

Nope, I don't think that'll happen. If it does, I feel like that would probably be with some super obscure character that was barely noticeable.

The soundtrack in LC was 10/10

Hope people aren't sleeping on main man Jidenna.

Re: Luke Cage || Netflix

Started watching this after only seeing like 3 daredevil episodes (seemed good) and no jesica jones. Luke Cage just seemed a lot more interesting to me than the other 2, but I'll end up watching everything anyway.

Watched the first 3 episodes, loved it. I like the pacing, the supporting cast, the villain, Luke, all of them. Only the male cop is kind of annoying, the rest are good. I thought Shades would be cringy when he first showed up but he turned out good so far. Cottonmouth is outstanding, don't know the actor but he is great imo. Cage's acting isn't the best but I'm liking the personality of the character a lot.

The only thing I'm wondering is how is anyone gonna be a threat to Luke Cage? he is too much of a beast.

Liked the filming a lot too. I'm not sure what it is but this feels like a comic book, the way some the scenes and transitions are done feel that way. That's cool.

The soundtrack and the banter are top notch. Everything that happens around that barber shop is great.

Yeah agree with jibers, I liked the Luke Cage the least of all the original Marvel Netflix series. Maybe the expectations were too high aftere the trailer but I was disappointed. If I had to rank them it'd be:

Daredevil S1 > Jessica Jones > Daredevil S2 > Luke Cage

Tbf it's Marvel so they could always just bring in a villain who can hurt Cage. He's hardly a powerhouse.
