My only concern about this 4231 is that it leaves 0 attacking options on the bench apart from Pjaca, who still needs time. Otherwise, it is a bomb.

I agree with @salmano9 , I like this ideas, but we can't sustain it for too many games this season. Next season if we tailor the team to it then it can be our future.

Berardi would already be bianconero since 2015 if he really wanted it. Guy is an Inter fan iirc, i think the management has given up on his case. Been a rumor for years, talk about an unnecessary saga.

Bernardeschi also look like the real deal, problem is, i suppose he hates Juve as well

Why is allegri not changing the font 3/4. Someone needs a rest and Pjaca has to come on.

JUVENTUS (4-2-3-1): Buffon; Lichtsteiner, Bonucci, Chiellini, Alex Sandro; Khedira, Pjanic; Cuadrado, Dybala, Mandzukic, Higuain.

We could have rest Khedira and Mandzukic at least. Throwing Rincon and Pjaca respectivly. I think if we'll close the match in first half , Pjaca will get 30+ minutes. Like salmano said we need to rotate our attackers as we only have Pjaca in bench with this formation.

The 4-2-3-1 is the formation to move forward. It allows everyone to play and gives us the offense necessary to score goals. If we are ahead and holding a lead it can be easily switched to a 3-5-2 with only one sub.

We need at least one more offensive player now for next year. We have a top midfielder coming in Tolisso so we need another winger to rotate on the flanks. Of course Berardi is my choice. He could actually start and play alongside Dybala in a 4-2-3-1.

Notice Sassuolo played the exact same formation. So Berardi is getting acclimated to the 4-2-3-1 for next year.

Is it true that Dybala refused to shake Allegri's hand?

I can see Berardi coming only if Dybala leaves. Dybala was a bit poor today , he's better when he's on the right.
We are playing him and Mandzukic out of position. Too bad Cuadrado doesn't play on the left or center.I know it's working but it's also consuming lots of energy to pir offensive players.

We need to bring a proper attacking mid like James or Isco assuming we already got Tolisso and Pjanic will play deeper. Or bring Sanchez and Berardi/Bernardeschi if Dybala leaves.
So far Mandzukic has done great thanks to his amazing workrate he creates chances for Sandro to go forward but I'd still prefer a proper winger there. We should use Pjaca more for now.

Pjaca and Cuadrado on the wings would be deadly.
Dybala will have more space considering Pjaca is far better at 1vs1 situations which means more space for Paulo and Higuain to move in center.

Don't care what he said. That's disrespectful and he should be ashamed of himself. Del Piero would have never done that. If he wants to be a leader on this team he needs to show respect to his coach. He is still a kid... He will learn, otherwise if he continues like this, the door is open and Alexis will come with open arms.

He is 22 and got frustrated. I'm sure he will apologize to Allegri and it will be over.

Didn't Mandzukic just had an outburst for being subbed like a month ago? Players like them are very competitive and always do it all for the win. Let him learn and grow of it.

Mandzukic is allowing us to play this formation he brings balance to it, without him we are not going to play it or maybe we'll see rincin or Lemina there. and ffs Allegri Pjaca is a winger.

Dybala is playing poorly second game in a row. He needs to be angry at himself not the coach.

Havent been able to watch a Juve game in a while now. About a month and a half. We're playing now with a 4-2-3-1 with Mandzukic and Higuian? Hows that work? So its basically a 4-4-2 with overly attacking-minded wingers? And Marchisio-Pjanic in the middle or what? Which CBs?

Its a 4-4-2.

Oddly enough Mandzukic is not overly attacking as a winger, Cuadrado makes the most runs forward of the two. Probably because Cuadrado has the pace to recover his position quickly. Mandzukic mostly defends with his crazy workrate and plays it simple, his biggest attacking contribution coming from heading long balls to Higuain and Dybala. Cuadrado is who he has always been.

Khedira-Pjanic in the middle since Marchisio got injured (thats when we switched). Both work great in this scheme. Khedira looks good again after underperforming for a while, he looks much more at home.

Chiellini-Bonucci for the most part. Barzagli played RB one game since Licht was suspended. Rugani played for Chiellini in the coppa. Asamoah filled in very well for Sandro in a couple of games.


The effect of the change has been absurd. In all 3 games we went 2 goals up in the opening 25 minutes. Higuain seems to love it (in terms of how his play has been), Dybala not as much. All in all everyone has been playing great in these 3 games.
