Not only that, then there's this BS with certain teams from big nations having to play on different match days due to the TV stations, which often grossly distorts the so called draw.

This is Bayern's fault tbh. Finished 2nd on purpose because they knew they would get Arsenal again. :coffee:

Seriously though, this "luck" is ridiculous. If we had finished 2nd we would have drawn Barca ffs. It's always Barca or Bayern.

We'll have to see what shape both teams are in come the end of February but I'm not particularly optimistic about progression. Beating them at the Emirates will be difficult enough, nevermind avoiding being stuffed at their place.

I mean the law averages means you are abound to beat them eventually. they are not very good this year and you are better than before so why not this season.

We've drawn away to either Southampton or Norwich in the 4th round of the FA Cup.

We've drawn Sutton United away in the FA Cup 5th round.

Sutton United play in the Conference, on an artificial pitch in front of about 4,000 fans. They knocked out Leeds in the previous round.

This will be the biggest game in Sutton's history.

What could possibly go wrong?

The only possibly easier draw could have been ..... playing Sutton at home.

Remember Craig Eastmond? He plays for Sutton United Laughing

Sutton's stadium has a capacity of 5,000 and 95% of that is standing.

I was wondering when it was ever going to happen when we draw a team like Sutton (with an open stadium, artificial pitch, etc) in the Cup Laughing

Just need to go get early goals there.

We just need to treat it like any other game against lower league opposition. Forget the fact they're "non-league" and play them as we would any other professional team. Turning up with the expectation that we'll stick eight past them is how accidents happen.

Hopefully we don't send a squad full of U23 players either.

If we beat Sutton tomorrow, we'll play Lincoln City (top of the National League) in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

would have been genuinely excited by Europa League Adventure if we appointed new Manager+DoF
fresh ideas/modern tactics/more intelligent transfers etc

but with Wenger+weakened squad we will hardly give ourselves any chance!
