Chinese teams should go for Falcao tbh. World class agent, world class reputation at some point in his career, he's always been explorer at heart and willing to pursue new horizons throughout his career.

Actually the whole paying crazy transfer sums is something I don't really get (though maybe it's just wrong perception and Oscar is an outlier). Obviously they have to pay the player big money to make him move to a poor league but why the club?

He is deemed unsellable by the new (and old) ownership. Could still be sold for a ton of money probably (like 60m) but he is an example of what I'm saying.

United/Chelsea/etc could have easily outbid Milan after his season at Samp. Or bid for Caldara or Rugani before Juve locked them down for little money.

Bonucci, Rugani and Caldara were got for around 40m total.

I think they've often gone for players the clubs weren't exactly looking to sell (whenever the transfer fee was high). In Chelsea's case, Oscar wasn't placed on the market before we were approached. And we do have a knack for negotiating high transfer fees for our players thanks to Marina Granovskaia.
