It's become such a norm this season but sometimes when one thinks you've reached rock bottom, you notice there is a basement. Valencia is currently 1-0 down at home to Eibar and this point, I think Los Che fans are just laughing.

Valencia are absolutely terrible. Their fans are whistling the hell out of them. As if you could resign because you couldn't sign Zaza. This guy is gonna get them relegated. They need a CF who can score goals

Hala, Nick, have you seen pictures of the roof damage? It is pretty substancial. They had 132 hm / hr winds that caused the damage. There is no way that can be replaced quickly.

This isn't about club preference re playing, it is about fan safety. I'm sure the Alaves requested re copa game will be denied. Given Madrid already have a makeup date with Valencia, this game will likely not be played (if needed) until May as ladt game of season.

Celta have already played under partial closure before when their stadium was getting refurbished. That roof is just a convenient excuse for them

Hala, have you even looked at the damage? The damaged occurred Friday with the extremely high winds. You making this out to be an excuse is pathetic. I'm sure you would expect a game after a full force hurricane hit!

Not sure what game you are referring to but it definitely was not after this damage.

You do realize same thing is happening at La Coruña (Deportivo) which is just up the coast and admit similar damage from same winds.

You simply don't accept there are other things going on in life besides futbol!

The postponement actually bodes well for Madrid. First off it makes liga title look closer than it actually is.secondly it delays and maybe even cancels (unless needed) one of only a few remaining difficult games. If you don't believe me take a look at remaining games especially away games.

Depor don't have any money. They are a bankrupt team that have relied on charity from the bigger clubs to stay afloat. They dont have the means to let the game go ahead in this weather. Celta are different.

Hope next season when the new SB is being built we postpone our games right before CL as we see fit. Would want nails and hammers dropping on people's heads do we. Their safety is our first concern

Boy you sure live in a single focused world. No matter what the weather calamity the game must be played. Damage in both stadiums is substantial and can't be repaired in a couple of days. You sure must lead a sheltered life!

Please, I know what hurricane breeze is like and it is way scarier than whatever happened in Vigo. That being said, safety is way more important than a football match. Might be a convenient excuse but it is still legit enough to suspend a match. I side with the calling off of the match.

Hala is annoyed that a match that can, in theory, be settled today has to wait until an unannounced date to be played.

And just why would Celta want to postpone game. They are playing well, will likely have their best finishes ever in both Liga and Copa and now likely will lose gate revenue for best attraction game of season?

Well, a week's rest to focus on the CDR semi final is a convenient reason to want a match postponed but that is about it. Like I said, they did the correct and most sensible thing.
