Looks like I was wrong about Ruediger (shocker). Monchi confirms that he'll stay, but Salah could possibly leave if our asking price is met, which is highly unlikely.

Someone's got to be our Andromeda to UEFA's FFP Kraken. If it's not going to be Salah or Ruediger that means Paredes, GErson, or possibly one of Nainggolan or Strootman, despite one just signing a new deal and the other being very close to a new one.

At this point, I am honestly beginning to think it would be more cost effective from a bigger picture perspective to simply take the FFP hit (fine and reduction in players) instead of coughing up 30m and damaging our team by selling key players. We're not going to win it anyway so might as well stay in, get out of our group and get that money.

The only thing that gives me pause about that is the severity of the fine and the possibility of a ban from the CL, though that appears the least likely of all those consequences. Admittedly, I have no clue what specifically would qualify a club for that type of punishment though. I'm guessing something heinous.

There is a huge shift in the club, we've historically been a Raiola club ever since the Dutch trio. I think bringing Mendes in recent years broke this relationship, this is territorial stuff, Ted Turner/Vince etc
