He became a Madrid starter. Honestly his biggest achievement so far. Doing well too.

He’s been performing really well. My only concern is that he has a very explosive and physically demanding playing style, and we’ve yet to see how he handles being a starter through a period where there’s little to no time for rest inbetween matches.

I've been supporting Fede for so long that it might as well be said that i scouted him for papa Perez.

I predict that Fede will have some memorable Champions League nights this season, after all, the name Federico means "peaceful ruler" and Valverde means "green valley." So Fede is the peaceful ruler of football. Simple.

He needs to attend to his deep-lying playmaking capabilities though, and it is partly Zidane's responsibility to instruct him on this.

Basically, although with how much the team is rotated there are few real starters. The only midfield 100% starter is Pjanic, Bentancur is always in the mix.

Please tell me Matuidi isn't still regularly starting.... that nonsense allows DD to justify him starting for France.

Real have now thus top level midfielder, making their midfield complete again, Casemiro, Kroos and Modric seem to have regained a lot of their form and if these 4 keep it up, they gonna be better than our midfield where only De Jong is satifactory atm. Pls go easy on us in the classico

If those 3 guys played together fear not Barca will beat us with ease. Modric should be Kroos' sub. If one of either Casemiro or Fede get injured then we are screwed

Maybe he simply saw it as an opportunity to give Fede som rest. I mean, the guy runs like a maniac every time he plays. He hasn’t been featuring from the start before relatively recently. Running more than everyone else has got to be physically taxing over time. I actually thought it was a good thing that Ødegaard got injured when he did, because there’s no way all of the running he did for both club and country at the start of the season was sustainable.

Fede has come out like a bat out of hell, but I really want to see Zidane work with him to make him a player who can also control the tempo of the game with his distribution of the ball, ala Kroos or Alonso, because he's got that in him too. It will hopefully be part of Fede's natural progression and refinement. If he can pair that with what he's doing now then... then....
