Well they would if they played mostly a B team against a near full strength Bayern

Renato giving the wall away which lead to our equaliser and then that awful penalty ffs.
Looks more and more like the Portuguese Tom Huddlestone

Reason?
Crap stadiums, awful crowds, hot, humid, and bad pitches.

Well hot and humid weather helps with fitness. How does the weather matter to us who're watching on TV
Agree about the pitches, Even the one at Hong Kong was shite but can't blame them they still managed to play after a monsoonal trough went by.

Re: Official Pre-Season 17/18 thread
It's draining for the players. Results in a slower tempo later on in the game which isn't as fun to watch. Wenger and the players haven't been enjoying it at all (getting food poisoning hasn't helped).

Re: Official Pre-Season 17/18 thread
Roma-PSG was a good game. Typical Roma of course so PSG won it on penalties.
Lethargic 1st half, which resulted in a PSG goal and an energetic 2nd half, which saw us equalize. Standout players for Roma were Peres (surprisingly, though he still can't defend), Manolas (literally 80% of our defense, other 20 goes to Moreno), Gerson (missed a penalty, but set up the goal), Tumminello, Sadiq (scored our goal), Nainggolan and Moreno. For PSG it was Lucas, Alves, Areola, Marquinhos (MOTM with 2 goals), Rabiot, Kimpembe and Matuidi (missed 3 clear cut chances).
Atmosphere was great. 36K at a baseball stadium to watch 2 teams outside of the Elite level was quite a good turnout. Roma had the edge in fans, despite wearing their away shirts, as the crowd was quite partisan against PSG (who did have a fair amount of their own fans there though).
Oh and the ref was terrible and missed a clear penalty for Roma, but whatevs.
Great game and experience.
A couple of pics I took. Not a photographer, that's for sure.

Milan 3-0 Bayern at HT.
I swear Niang only ever looks good in preseason.
Ric Rod and Kessie look good as well.

Let's not forget the pre season game Taye Taiwo marked Robben out of the game and looked like a left sided Maicon.

Re: Official Pre-Season 17/18 thread
Phil Foden seems to be getting a lot of hype by City fans and pep. One to look out for this season?
"I don’t have words - I would like to have the right words to describe what I saw," said Guardiola of Foden's display in Houston.
"You are the lucky guys who saw the first game, for the first team for Manchester City, of this guy.

Ospina is out there injuring players.
He did the same thing to Oscar a few years ago in a league match.

Guy is a joke lmao. He does this every match. Either by himself, to our own players or to opposition players. No idea why he isn't in Galatasaray.
