@ ES/Arq regarding American fans and press. Yes, you guys are certainly right. We Americans love underdogs, that's why we stick to subpar players. We are the country that gave the world the Mighty Ducks after all. As for the journos, there has really been this pervasive effort to ensure our soccer press is completely different and separate from the European football press. You can hear it even in the terminology (the term "outside back" makes me cringe like nothing else) as well as in how they interact with players and coaches. It's not good or bad, but it's rather unique and that's on purpose. I've stopped trying to reconcile the 2 sides of this spectrum.

Regarding our match with Bologna. Will take it and say thank you. That's 3 ground out wins on the trot. We Romanisti are beginning to refer to this form as binary form. All 1s and 0s. As long as the numbers are in the right spots, doesn't matter how we do it. SES' goal was a thing of beauty. It's just a shame he's such a streaky player. With sustained consistency, he could really be much better than he already is.

About Jorginho. It's the right decision honestly though I wonder how Brazil fans will view him considering how long he's flirted with playing for Italy. This really does stink of him just choosing them like he's choosing a club to play for and that's not at all what international football is about. He's either going to become their best midfielder or he'll get derided for the rest of his international career by those fans. They have long memories.

Jorginho would deserve a spot in the Italy Nt, he is good enough for it and Marchisio, DDR are not eternal.

That being said, i always dislike in Fifa to have a player named "inho" with Italy's flag, something feels not right.

Anyway I have to add Conte was different from past Italian coaches about the oriundi .
He did not care really if a player was oriund or less , not just for Eder but I mean... I remember he tried to convince Dybala , Vazquez and Icardi but they didn't want it.
Expecially Icardi was irremovable on Argentina

Hard to agree on this tbh.

4-5 teams to get their points record /goals ever , because  for the rest many scrub teams and ultra-scrub teams.

The  scarsity of current Serie A needs of a  reform for 16 teams league.
The Serie A formed by 20 teams represents the destruction  of that ' little bit of good ' that is still in Serie A.

Most exciting Serie A season since calciopoli, without a doubt.

But i agree about the 16 teams league, even if i prefer 18 to start with. Now there is too much teams for the available talent.

Probably we have the most passionate fanbase in Italy

It's enough unreal, but there is basically sold out ( match will be played on Sunday , at 12 30 AM ) for Inter- Torino .
Sold out to San Siro means " 80 000 places " .

Most exciting for me as well. The top 5 are great, then the following 5 are still strong (Atalanta, Milan, Samp, Torino, Fiore). Even the following group are in their usual level and good for a game (Chievo, Cagliari, Udinese, Sassuolo, Bologna). The real tragedy are the relegation candidates, including Genoa.

Teams 6-15 aren't worse than before, if anything they are a bit better. Its the top 5 that improved a LOT.

Nothing different to previous seasons except for VAR and Milan spending €1 billion and still looking like a pub side.

Let's hope we can clinch our 35th champions league title this season

There is something to be said when even the 9th and 10th placed teams win in EL and everyone actually performs decently in Europe. Lazio has been putting out hilarious lineups and winning their group.

Borja scores the 1-0. Then now in the second half VAR gives a penalty from Handanovic and Pazzini gets subbed in and scores it. 2 minutes later Inter hits the post.

Intense game in Verona.

Napoli 31 points on 33
Inter 29 on 33
Juve 28 on 33
and Lazio 28 on 33

Hard to define exciting when most number of results are expected

Serie A revival, season 1 banana

What i see this season is 5 solid teams, not defensive minded and consistent at piling up the Ws. Inter, Roma and Napoli seem less prone to implode and give up easy points. Hard to predict what will be the podium and in which order to be honest.

Another thing, i'd be curious to compare the quality of under 25yo players of all major championships. Wouldn't be surprised if Serie A ends up first or second, even if i don't know what's going on in Bundesliga or Premier League and others.

Rob maybe you have other ideas to describe what's exciting, for an Inter fan i find it quite particular to not appreciate the path this season seems to take.

For revival season 2 i expect

Milan to take Lazio's place in top 5
Napoli to downgrade a bit
Juve to complete its transition, Buffon gone is definitely closing the books on this era
Inter to add depth and keep pillars Icardi, Perisic

Idk, Napoli winning season 1 would make it more "official", as a milestone for the revival of this league. More than Juve winning another title, the 36th.

No of course I am loving Inter season, but what I wonder is why a neutral should watch Serie A season tbh
Anyway there are matches clou now., it should be more interesting also for who is neutral.
It is also impossible the first 4 keep this rhythm, especially (M99 I learnt it) Inter and Lazio I think

Expected tbh
But perhaps I will explain it tomorrow, tired and sleep, so translating my thought even in English sounds unreal as a point got by Benevento
