People really overrating that Invincible team. Didn't they only win the league that season? Arsenal fans talk about them like they were a GOAT team like Pep's Barca. Would have gotten smashed my those Chelsea teams in Mou first sting.

Just confirmed it

UEFA Champions League Quarter-finals (Chelsea)
FA Cup- Semi-finals (Lost to United)
League Cup- Semi-finals (Middlesbrough  Laughing )
FA Community Shield-Runners-up (United in PKs)

Of the personal opinion going through an entire league campaign without losing a game and finishing it off by winning the entire thing can never be "overrated". Over hyped, sure but nothing about it is overrated.

What people need to realise that during the time of Arsenal invincibles people weren't obsessed with CL like they are now.

Domestic cups weren't treated like a piece of rubbish you throw away and people didn't spend 300m on a bench lol.

Judging them by a different standard is unfair, just to use an example old Original Ronaldo had a poor CL record but nobody would consider him overrated.

It was just a different time and only people who were too young to really remember accuse them of being overrated.

Of course.

Unless you were like me when I was young, which was smart. And very able to concisely access the situation for what it was.

Also, the leagues happened to be more competitive and not restricted to a handful of teams.

I just never felt like they were that great of a team. A great Accomplishment but not Team.

If City gets over 100 points and win a cup, I would take that as more impressive than going undefeated.

Go on then i'll bite.

4 other premiership attacks that have 43 goals and 21 assists between them.

Actually i'll be fair....name one.

Incidently why are you throwing shade on Liverpool's midfield? Ok they can't create $hit because Unique thinks they need to look up more or something retarded but that Barcelona midfield stinks as well. 8 ASSISTS.....thank god for Messi eh.

I meant "top 5 all time", not currently top 5. Right now City's front 3 is obviously top 2 in the EPL easily.

Other than that it's nothing special in an all-time sense. None of Sané, Agüero or Sterling is the best in his position even right now, even in the Premier League, let alone world.

That's preposterous, of course they were a great team. The more you post about this the more I think you barely watched them tbh.

To be fair, at least he lived through it.

And he got to be a professional footballer, he represented his national team, and he's made loads of money. Spurs have welcomed him back as a coach and honestly he seems the type of guy who could get into punditry as well. Pretty well spoken iirc.

That's not to say I don't feel extremely bad for the guy, nor to say that his situation isn't really awful...I do, and it is. However, he's lived through it and he's got a good life ahead of him.

how does this compare to current setup? seems low for BT off the top of my head? I feel like they show more than that usually.
