Really? Haven't watched more than one episode of most of the shows, other than Fosse/Verdon. But judging by hype, reviews and general cultural impact it wasn't close to the top 2 in that category.
Of the shows it was competing with, I watched Chernobyl and Escape at Dannemora, and I thought Sharp Objects had better acting than both.
Haven't watched Fosse/Verdon and When they see us, but they're now in the list.

Fleabag started out a bit slow for me, and i thought Harry and the guy with the teeth were annoying, terrible characters. But S02E03 in and I am loving it. PWB is amazing

Harry is incredible.
Guy with the teeth was annoying but in funny ways at least. I mean, his character was supposed to be annoying

S02E06 into Mindhunter, and can i please just point out what an auteur David Fincher is with the camera. He directed the first 3 episodes of the season, and the camera tracking/movement/placement is just Fincher! No one else can do that.
Btw i like how they have chosen to focus more on Tench and the woman for this season. Still not a drop in quality

Speaking of Mr. Robot, it's back tonight for it's final season.
Need to watch some recaps but I remember season 3 was excellent.

Just finished Succession Season 2's finale. My jaw is still on the floor.
That was a near flawless season of TV. And that finale ranks among the best I've seen. Jeremy Strong has to go up for an Emmy for that performance as Kendall Roy and I'd be shocked if Brian Cox isn't right there in contention with him. This was riveting stuff.
HBO may not be able to recover GOT-sized viewership with what it's offering going forward, but critically, it remains a top notch network. Shows like Succession, Chernobyl, and Barry continue on the tradition of The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire, Six Feet Under and others.

Never heard of this show before your post honestly. Doesn't seem like it's well known.

Lads, there's this South Korean TV series called Signal. Get on it. Its a police mystery drama with a supernatural twist. Its available on Netflix and its really good. If you are watching on Netflix, don't read episode descriptions though as they annoyingly spoilery.

Anyone rate Rectify on here? It's highly rated everywhere so I gave it a try, about to end S1 and its hella weird but I'll definitely watch S2 and see how things pan out.

It's really slow. I remember giving up after the first or second season.

Yeah, its very eye-opening and a true learning experience really - thats my takeaway from the first few episodes. I don't find it particularly entertaining but I see why it's highly rated.

Watched the first 2 eps of Apple's new show SEE, interesting enough. Fail to see how it's the most expensive show per ep of all time though, looks about on par with the 100 lol.

yeah I loved the premise but it seems pretty average
what I will say is that the action/fight scenes in the third episode were phenomenal, really well shot and intriguing.

Seems like His Dark Materials is getting pretty meh reviews. Shame. From the trailers it looks like the production quality is there
