guessing more from the Bethesda conference, a lot of detail there

I'm worried with the '4x the size of Fallout 4' claim it's going to be an MMORPG like Elder Scrolls Online tbh

Knew i shouldn't have bought it but went with anyways because peer pressure.

Its a piece of garbage, there isn't any teamwork in it, for real. Like no variety, you might as well pull up any multiplayer Steam greenlight zombie game and hang with your friends there. The only thing you do together is shoot enemies.

No classes, only 'perks' that don't augment gameplay at all, like i level up and get the -5% rad perk. There's no tank/dps/healer, you all got guns, and just shoot enemies , you can be asleep at the wheel and whoever is with you is gonna finish the quest for you.

There's an eating and drinking bar, you become hungry/thirsty if its depleted, affecting your performance, its so arbitrary, there's no need for that.

The world is mundane and lifeless, hue of greys everywhere, i knows its Fallout, but goddamn the color palette is disgusting. The sad thing is, you see NA fans praising the land geography being true to reality in whatever state the game takes place in.

The reason they didn't release it on steam is because they anticipated this shit and people were going to refund like crazy, which is why they made the Bethesda Launcher, its literally a copy paste of the Blizzard launcher.

The engine is the same engine as the last 20 years (godbless whoever developed that), the shooting is meh, VATSis clunky, glitches everywhere, no story. Its terrible

I liked Bethesda's games because its immersive, but this is just trash

They also didn't send early copies to journalists for early review access. Figured they didn't have a lot of faith in their product.

I should say this because i have no doubt the game sucks lol.

But this doesn't mean anything, Bethesda has a company wide rule for all their games that they won't release early copies for reviewers.

They did it for Fallout 4, Doom etc etc don't get me wrong i think it's incredibly dumb but they've been pretty consistent with this for a while now.

I expected you to say exactly that, and I know they did it for Fallout 4. Had they not done it, a lot of their long-time, hardcore fans wouldn't have bought the game. The Fallout community was largely angry and frustrated by what they found in Fallout 4. They may have been consistent with it for a while now, but coincidentally, they've released games of varying quality during the same period of time that they've been doing it. That tells me that they lack faith in their product, or they expect a portion of their devoted fans to be upset by the content.

True enough, i was just saying they are doing the same they've done for every game they've released for a long time now irrelevant of quality.

I would argue that the footage we've seen indicates a poor product but a lack of reviews doesn't.

Early reviews affect sales, though. If you have an objectively speaking, great game, you want to get reviews out ASAP. That is, unless the content will upset long-time fans regardlessly.

I know but they do it with every game regardless. I personally think it's stupid as hell and one of the reasons most of their non Fallout stuff has struggled to sell.

Basically even if this game was a masterpiece I've seen no evidence to suggest they would change how they do things.

If they were going to change things, I'm sure people would prefer that they created a masterpiece or went back to pre-Zenimax quality, rather than increasingly large worlds with decreasing quality content, more simplified mechanics and more dissappointment for die-hard fans hmm

No one would mind that they held back early copies from journalists, but then they would lose out on the potential, early hype.

Yep, atleast Rust was somewhat fun.

This is just pure garbage, sadly it'll still probably break even and make money, i imagine it didn't take a lot to make this hunk of junk

I'll be interested to see how it does, you'd think it would do well on name brand alone but it's struggled so far in the UK apparently so we'll interested to see when some world wide reports come out.
