Yeah Juninho is currently goat at freekicks, Zico was another great one although it was easier then to score.

Another one of those crazy games for Messi, greates 5 big chances, breaks the bus under the wall, two goals, two posts. Good luck for everyone else.

Yeah the thing about Juninho I remember is that he regularly banged them in from 35 meters and such, Messi doesn't take them from quite that far.
Calhanoglu did that for one season, too.

Still, what Messi's delivering at the moment with regards to free kciks is stunning in its own right.

It wasn't necessarily about the range proficiency with him, though. He was so reliable at it, that for a while, I took it for granted that he was going to score them. I don't think Messi has gotten quite that consistent at it. At least not, yet - I doubt that he'll ever quite match Juninho's level of reliability, but who knows?

I missed a good chunk of the first half but Suarez didn’t look that bad, much improved form the Sevilla game.

Dembele still awful though. I hope he improves but I just can’t see it. He does the same trick over and over again but it doesn’t work.

Vidal and Arthur were pretty good, they surely make use of the minutes they get.

Coutinho is a legend aswell. What a beaut. Can play on the wing and in midfield— successfully. Amazing.

i dunno about that thimmy. messi is putting those free kicks in like ronaldo with penalties and headers.

he bailed out barca yet again, but i think valverde is gonna have to make a tactical decision regarding suarez and messi, they occupy the same spaces now, because messi doesn't stick to the wing and suarez drops deeper and his finishing has become benzlite.

unless semedo can become that right back hustler that dani alves was. imo sergi roberto is overrated in that spot and lacks the pace to play there

Dembele was unlucky but he was a constant threat, he actually had a good game. Has it become a fashion now to shit on him? I mean i was one of his big critics even before he got injured, but saying he was awful is plain delusional.

Even Messi at 75% will score 30+ and comfortable lead the scoring charts. It's Barca's title to lose.

Looking forward to seeing who rises up to be second best, though. Griezmann, Bale, Costa, ~~Andre Silva~~.

Just caught up of the Barca match, its just a pleasure to watch Messi like this, at the top of his form already. Must be being captain now, and after every WC year Barca and Messi wins the CL, so if Messi stay like this the season Barca will have very good chance Very Happy

I actually think Dembele has improved a lot now, link play and decision making. Just continuation to improve and gain more confidence then he should be fine. Arthur looking good again. Suarez always starts a bit slow but he is Suarez.

Especially loved the third goal, Messi made that goal look easy which is definitely was not. Probably only a hand full of players would score from that chance in the world.

Lastly though Alaves parked the bus and couldnt offer anything in attack, so our defense basically werent tested at all in the match. Thats the area still we need to see if its improved. Attacking wise we look very good atm Very Happy

The option to buy is high enough that Sevilla absolutely won't pay it, even if Silva scores 20+. They're cheap like that.
