WHICH TWO TEAMS WILL PROGRESS ?
Re: Champions League 2019/20 | Group E
I doubted Carlo's changes earlier bit mostly due to its narrow stature and the use of Llorente but surprise he is using Llorente to his strengths and not just his head and it has worked brilliantly to keep Napoli in their half and dominate up front.
Absolutely brilliant by Carlo, tbh.

Horribly soft IMO

Klopp had his ass handed to him by Carlo and reacted poorly to Ancelotti's incremental changes and has a lot to answer for today.
If Mane and Salah don't sort their balls out with their dick measuring contest it will be the end of us given their chemistry is at its worst since that tension that occurred versus Newcastle.

This is what happens when LOLrente is played not like a beanpole targetman.
But sadly repayed against my own team.
Revenge for him and Tottenham I suppose for us ending Spur's CL dreams.

Re: Champions League 2019/20 | Group E
Not much to comment on given I rather predicted a CL win hangover even if I underestimated Napoli and should know how utterly lethal they can be on their day as I firmly believe Carlo's Napoli is better than Sarri's afterall.
van Dijk like I commented on Koulibaly can be prone to that odd lapse in concentration and Robertson should have been given benefit of the doubt for that penalty but I expect us to route the rest of the teams in the group and hopefully a replay of last year against Napoli, back home in Anfield.

Re: Champions League 2019/20 | Group E
thought Liverpool was alright and in late second half at one point napoli just lost concentration with Manolas and Di Lorenzo making mistakes Liverpool wasn't clinical enough in front of goal (Mane / Salah) and they were punished on the other end.
Koulibaly the boss as usual in defense, and Fabian Ruiz plays the sexiest football ever ... good game this
Erling Braut Håland For RB Salzburg was tearing KRC Genk ... kid looks crazy ... heard of him before like during international duty that he scored something like 9 goals alone in U20 game but saw the real him in highlights

Fabian really was indeed the man the midfield between the two and just has such an upper echelon footballing mind to combine his seamless skills its a joy to watch and is the most important player under Carlo, for me.
Sums his Napoli up in many regards, Fabian does. In what he does well and where he fails.

So Klopp 3 losses on 3 matches in Naples. I can't be really surprised for this result

Actually interestingly first half the most threatening player for Napoli was Mário Rui on the left flank ... but fabian he really kept ball well and did he could for Napoli to play good possession football and let forwards push on at front .. even though he lost ball cheaply few times.... Liverpool is very hard to play against because they presses opponents so swiftly and i think in that respect Ruiz didn't really shudder
Ruiz is just calm headed he just like oh ok i lost ball i can do better and plays beautifully again... for me MOTM is him or Koulibaly
well no worries Arq. u guys will enjoy Salzburg at home ... just watch out Erling Braut Håland , kid just looks possessed!

i actually thought liverpool had it , at second half Napoli was beginning to break esp. Manolas...
then they had pk and everything changed... think its just Naples is tough to play at ... Liverpool won't cock it up for next few games in CL

That really does sum up Rui at Napoli for me and what keeps him from being a more recognised name.
Ruiz never really reacts poorly against pressing despite his languid style as where he fails is in being too lackadaisical in games and letting the game somehow pass him by at times.
And will keep an eye out for that player Jesp

Napoli created the more dangerous chances, a deserved win. And it was a penalty, Robertson stepped in front of him.

Ruiz is just another great player coming from Spain...Napoli has great eyes on just quality skilled midfielders... tbh napoli doesnt even play like italian clubs ,
i guess importantly napoli has some good depth now in midfield... though.. i guess Napoli just lacked that finisher i guess... like CF Milik could have done some major damage if he had played
^O^ yep Erling Braut Håland is the name.... with H...

That Liverpool with crazy fast counter attack with only one player to beat ... Mane unlikely cocked up.. that was really defining moment for liverpool...
then their other attempts didn't go in ... Meret with beautiful save after manolas cock up ... from Salah attempt .. just not liverpool's day tonight even van Dijk messed up in the end..

Yeah agreed. Napoli deserved the win even though we looked decent for 80 odd mins. The only thing I wasn't happy about was the fact we were nervous and never properly came out of our shell. Credit to Napoli for taking the game to us and credit to tha fans as well for making sure.

thought it was not pk... Liverpool was unlucky there robertson did make a contact but not severe enough to really say pk i actually thought it would be revised and not given...
but that being said few liverpool players were sort of kept an eye on because they were committing fouls and referee was warning few times

It was a replay of last year pratically ?
Weird, I believed Klopp 'd have "learnt " the lesson

Carlo is the CL GOAT. His Napoli play much more interestingly in big matches than Sarri's ever did. Been saying this from the start of last season. The 4-4-2 he plays is great, really balanced in all phases. They miss the quality to take them a final step, with a couple of top players they would be huge.
Still expect Liverpool to beat them in england and win the group. Can't say that Liverpool played poorly tonight, it was a great match.

Same! I the moment I saw Robertson and Fabinho starting, I thought Klopp finally took this seriously with a positive team against them. Fabinho being our best player as well. The penalty now to me is an absolute farce, the guy should be banned for diving. Regardless, Napoli's attitude was class and the stadium made it even harder to work against. It was just not meant to be. It's tough to call this a masterclass, think last year was a bigger masterclass, we had no reply for 90 mins that day.

Last year for Carlo's team was rather unlucky rather, even if a deserved knock-out for not being ruthless enough to progress but definitely a more tactically advanced team than Sarri's and I see their ceiling in Europe higher with Carlo who has made some interesting set-ups this season with them.
The quality in the final third and lack of ruthlessness remains similar to last year though.
