Hertha BSC have completed their first signing of the new year, just in time for the trip across the sea to winter training camp in Orlando, Florida. Santiago Ascacibar has joined the Blue-Whites from second-division side VfB Stuttgart. The 22-year-old Argentina international will help add some depth to head coach Jürgen Klinsmann’s defensive midfield options. Ascacibar signed a long-term deal with the club on New Year’s Day (01.01.20) and will join his new side at training camp in the United States.
