All of names you have mentioned except Ramos. Are only at best marginally better than players chosen. There simply are no break out talents in Spain right now. We are definitely in a down cycle.

I believe Enrique knew we had no chance if winning this WC and went for mostly youth to give them experience. I do agree he took too many youth and that he is biased towards Barca players plus he should have taken Ramos and Thiago. But other than that, any of the choices you mentioned would not have made any difference with the outcome.

@Bill. Need you guys for the next Euro. Can't be just England and France playing at a top level, which is what it looks like right now. And frankly, need more flair in terms of styles. France and England play very direct.

Italy and Germany are a ways away IMO. Dutch lack technical talent, strangely.

How is the new manager? Is any attacking talent coming through?

New manager will be similar to Lopetequi, been coaching youth seleccion for years. People complain about Enrique, but he did try to play more direct possession than Aragones, Del Bosque and Lopetequi! His issues were no breakout players(s) and no goal scorers

That’s as far as coaches, as to players, some of the kids that played this time need to develop, if we are to contend.

I’m not optimistic, especially with the coach change.

I really like Olmo and Fati. If those two develop, you should be much better.

I think the passing of all the old guard will liberate Spain NT. Busquets, for example, just wasn't good enough. Same with Carvajal, Azpi and Alba. Need to allow young players to take over leadership.

I think the referee has been near useless in this match, but the result is fair I guess.

Yikes! Hey Sports, I kind of expected this to happen. We just don’t have any standout players anymore. As I said with Enrique, it wasn’t player selection. De La Fuente has changed formation and several players but the new players are really no better than the ones left out.

I think it will be a while before we can be considered among the elite of Europe!

With Aspas, Laporte, Gavi (+Pedri), Balde, Ruiz, Williams or even Morata on bench; 8/11 players should be replaced from that lineup. I'm glad barca players were rested though because NT is nothing but trouble, also not sure why Llorente wasnt called up

Welcome to new coach, different approach with the same mediocre player pool to draw talent. You can argue all you want with player selections, but the harsh reality, that I am coming to accept is there is at best marginal differences in players talent in this mediocre pool!

Very impressed with Nico Williams, he playing a lot like Vinicius, but makes better passes.

Ferran Torres looks surprisingly great this season, he's on a mission and hopefully can make the next step forward or else he's gone next summer probably
