Coentrao has been good in the midfielder role, he could adapt and start playing there if he continues like this. Dont wanna kneejerk though, I wanna see more games with him where he performs like this as midfielder

varane has been really good imo

Varane has been solid for sure.

MArcelo and Pipa were the worst among all madrid players, followed closely by Di Maria.

higuain still looks far from 100%
di maria thinks he is xabi (he's not)- plays 4-5 unsuccessful long balls
varane again looks like our strongest CB, let this kid start.

everything else was decent in the first half

second half team comes on and we look 300% better if not more
alex- simple but solid, only one minor slip up
morata- took every chance he had played very well wished to have seen more of him with the ball
mendes- didnt see enough of him but looks like he can play from what i saw
