Ronaldo is more effective on the left, draws more defenders and is alot more dangerous

He did start out on the right but in most games he moves all over the place

Di maria on the right is mostly woeful

He should stay as a sub

He did much better than the last few weeks so kudos. I'd still have him as super sub though.

(His assists were great BTW)

For next game, as we're likely gonna play Higuain up front, starting Di Maria probably a good idea. Chemistry between Higuian-Di Maria is great, we saw it last season and in last game, their chemistry better than chemistry between Higuain-Ozil & Higuain-Kaka. Di Maria tend to pass more when he plays with Higuain, he likes to feed Higuain. And Higuian also almost always made the most of Di Maria's passes .
Chemistry between Higuain-Ozil isn't just that good. I saw when Ozil tried to feed Higuain, Higuain often like didn't expect it and hence ended up too late to make a decent shot (ex: Levante second half) or made a weak attempt (ex: Betis second half, the shot that's blocked by the keeper). Also I saw when at the same time Ozil made a pass & Higuain made a run, the direction of the ball & the run wasn't on the same path (example: Betis second half), it's like they're not on the same page.
Not really sure about chemistry between Higuain-Kaka as Kaka didn't even try to feed Higuain in recent games they played together.

Di maria has been fantastic last match,plus his throw balls are great when Godzalo is on the pitch,im all for him starting.

I think Di Maria is at his best when he is coming of the bench i.e last game.

Him sucking has more to do with benz on the field too ( not his passing lol)

with benz , he is forced to link up with him,but we all know di maria sucks at link up.He is a direct player and with higuain he can release a throw ball any time and from any where,look at argentina and betis matches.

It's unbelievable how much stamina he has.

True, he needs to work on his passing, and learn to stop losing the feckin ball all the time.

But his tracking back is awesome though.

Gotta appreciate his work rate we pressure the other team a lot better when he plays.

if he didnt lose the ball so much maybe he wouldnt have to use his high work rate to track down his own failures.

He played well for us last season.....it's not his fault the better players are in form again.......but i d wish he cut down on diving and play acting.

Di Maria was absolute shit on the ball yesterday. Apart from running he didn't do anything lol.

People talk about players like Kaka as an unnecessary luxury, then we should also discuss Di maria as an unnecessary work-horse, no?

Everybody worked their collective butts off last night, not just him.. and once again he was absolutely rubbish on the ball. The boy is an amazing super-sub, he must be moulded to that role.

I cannot believe that Kaka and Higuain have to sit on the bench so that Di Maria's extra work-rate can be made priority. Feck that!

he put him there for defensive duties, help arbeloa against bastos... thats why

his ball control and technique is teribble, his short passing is terrible, his positioning is terrible.

all he has is his defensive workrate. and few odd good moments.

i think i have given up on him completly, for a 35m player, this is just not what i expected.

cant wait for benz or higuain to take his place. he just doesnt deserve it.
