Far too early to be asking questions of this nature.

Juventus still have yet to be tested by truly great opposition. I agree with Crointer on that point.

Let's see how they do taking points off the other 5 contenders. That's a much better indicator.

Its not just Inter, Roma, Milan and Napoli, its games like Fiorentina, Genoa, Lazio, Palermo etc.. especially when they are at home, so far all Juve played were teams that their goal this season is: Stay in Seria A...

Those teams are tough as well, especially those that just got up like Novarra and Atalanta.

I think thy have the potential, but it is hugely affected by the other team's injuries and form, if they can finish the winter campaign as champions by a good margin, I can see them becoming favorites for the Serie A.

If however they fail to take advantage of the other contender's Eurpean obligations, then they will fail to win Serie A.

I agree, Parma, Bologna, Seiena with full squad, compared to Lazio, Barca, Napoli, Udinese, with less than half full squad, I have seen better starts for Juve in the last 2 seasons, and we know how that ended.

Not really full squad.
Elia hasn't played a minute, neither has Quagliarella.
Krasic is not match fit as he just returned from injury and the same goes for Vucinic (both would not have made the first game against Udinese if it was scheduled).

Now, add in the fact that there is a new manager and many new players in the squad and in the starting eleven, nothing comes easy.

Elia, Qua and Krasic are coach options and calls, but they are there at his disposal if he chooses to play them, Vucinic was ready and got sent of.

So Juve players are there, just not played.

That isn't relevant to what I am saying at all...
Such baseless hate, pretty ridiculous.

Elia and Quagliarella are at Conte's disposal but have not been used a single minute --> This is all that matters.
Krasic and Vucinic have just returned from injury and their forms, respectively, have shown it --> This is all that matters.

My initial point is Jve has a full squad, and you started posting names that have'nt played, I was simply telling you the case is different from Milan, since Milan has a half fit squad, while Juve got a full squad and the the coach chooses not to play them.

They have a full squad but aren't playing their strongest line up which was my only point and the only reason I brought up Elia/Quagliarella's lack of minutes and Krasic/Vucinic's lack of minutes.
We still have not seen the strongest Juventus.

So, I am not saying that Juventus will win the scudetto but they do have a deep squad and I wouldn't count them out. I don't think they'll end up winning personally but I think top three is realistic for this group of players, time will tell.

lol under Ferrara juve had a great start aswell.. Just because you are desperate for succes doesn't mean you should abandon all intelligence.

Juve are certainly a team that can finish Top3 , but Scudetto winners ?? Maybe in a year or 2 if this season ends up succesful (which means not a 7th place)

Juve have to realize this is not Serie B, where you just walk into it and suddenly you win it, and you do'nt go from 7th to 1st in a matter of one season.

Oh, I wasn't aware that is what this thread was saying at all.

CAN.... WILL

Difference?

Possible-absolute

Difference?

Can Juventus win Serie A? Yes, it is possible.

Will they? Probably not but it is too soon.

That is all the thread asked and you guys made every attempt possible to completely dodge the question, stop being nerds.

I would avoid absolutely saying that any contender will not in any circumstances win the scudetto to avoid looking like a fool when they do.

I totally agree LordSpencer but you did mention "contender" and I think you mean real contender not "Juve" contender.

I am this confident that Juve will not win it 4th place if they are lucky enough 3rd.

baresi wrote:Juve have to realize this is not Serie B, where you just walk into it and suddenly you win it, and you do'nt go from 7th to 1st in a matter of one season.

This is precisely the sort of attitude that will limit a squad with the class and depth of Juve to finishing 3rd -7th. Luckily, I believe that Juve's players believe they can win, and Conte is stubborn enough not to admit it even if he doesn't share that belief. We've seen a Juve selection the first few matches that has at best suggested that a good deal of rotation will be used, and that at worst has confused me. I think we have yet to see the stongest possible combination of Juve players. With so many new faces it was always going to take time to gel as a team, and their rotation is further delaying the development of a Barcelona-like chemistry. (No, I am not saying Juve is the next Barca. I'm just using their knowledge of each other as an example.)

That said, I think that Juve will challenge and could win Serie A. However, to say they are the runaway favorites, i.e. "they will win," is ignorant and short sighted. Their are far too many matches left are far too little known about this squad as a unit to make such a prediction.

No chance. Either Inter or Milan will win it.

Napoli have a very good team as well but they lack the depth the Milanese clubs have.

Okay people let me tell you how to deal with Juventini. They are oversensitive boys.. So deal with them carefully , very carefully.. You feel me ??

So ARE !! Juve contenders for the Serie A ?? Your answer should be "yes they are a formidable team and have more squad depth then either Milan or Inter combined". Pirlo being the best midfielder in the world together with our new half empty stadium nobody will be able to stop us."

I have warned you all , My credentials are real since I know them JuveBoys inside out. You may thank me later..
