Six points off top is not bad. Good to hear Petagna is doing well. Did Gabriel (GK) play in these games?

Mastour isnt the only decent arab kid in our youth team ala ramadan the libyan kid impressed me to.

Mastour looks like a a future baloon d'or winner!

these next years are crucial to his development.

Report: The highly talented youngster, Gabriele Capanni, that Real Madrid and Milan want to sign.

"What year is this kid from? December 2000? "We've only see one player who was better than him at this age, and that was Neymar."

These are the words of Zinedine Zidane and Ramon Martinez (responsible for Real Madrid’s youth sector) after they saw the 11-year old offensive player, Gabriele Capanni, play in a friendly match for Real Madrid.

Gabriele Capanni was born on the 2nd of December 2000, and he currently plays for Calcio Castello Giunti, which is football academy connected to Milan.
Capanni signed a contract with Nike last summer, and he’s the only player born in 2000 that has a contract with the American sportswear giant.
Real Madrid has been following him, but it was Milan that managed to get an option on the talented youngster. Real Madrid were close to signing Capanni last month, but UEFA didn’t authorize the transfer due to Capanni’s young age.

It was one of Milan's scouts, Marco Smacchia, who discovered the player and he said the following about Capanni:
"I've been a scout for Milan for 7 years and I've never seen such a good player."

His father Lorenzo used to play for Lodigiani and this is what he said in an interview about his talented son:

"I remember that during a summer when Gabriele was only 17 months old, people on the street would stop to watch him kick and dribble with the ball. He started playing in football club when he was only 3 years old. After a year he joined Perugia where he won several MVP awards in tournaments", said Lorenzo and continued:

"It was in the end of May that I got a phone call saying that Real Madrid were interested in Gabriele. At first I thought it was a joke, but it really was true, so then I went to Madrid with my wife and Gabriele. My son played in a friendly match, and they won 5-1. Gabriele scored 3 goals and made 2 assists. Zidane and Martinez wanted to get to know me and my wife, but they spoke with my wife because she's Dominican and therefore knows Spanish.
The fact that Milan now have an option on my son makes me even more happy and I hope that Gabriele can join Milan when he turns 14", declared the proud father.

Gabriele will be in Milano next week, where he will train at the Vismara sports complex, which is where Milan's youth teams train.

Facts about Gabriele Capanni:
- His idol is Messi.
- His favorite team is Milan.
- In 2009 Ronaldinho gave Gabriele a Milan shirt where he had written: "To Gabriele, my heir."

A small but noteworthy bit of news from yesterday's friendly. Cristante came on for Montolivo during the match to play in midfield and post match was kept behind for personal training from Tassotti. Clearly, he's being groomed to be more involved in the first team next season.

Yes, Cristante has always been given a chance by Allegri. He's clearly the most promising of our youth still in the youth team.

I can see Strama replacing Mangia after the U21 European Championships in much the same way as Ferrara found an opportunity to begin again after his failed stint at Juventus. Will be interesting to see where Dolcetti ends up.
