It comes from the fact that Suarez said in Urugauy to call someone a "n*****" is just banter.

There is no "alleged" in this case since Suarez actually admitted calling Evra a "nigreto" or whatever it is said in Spanish. He obviously said it again and again in hopes of winding up Evra.....and it actually worked because I have never seen Evra become so pissed off with another player like he did with Suarez.

Spanish FA and English FA are different. Justice will be served and Saurez will be punished hopefully.....and hopefully Terry will get punished too.

But suarez was using it in a way to insult Evra and wind him up...so clearly by saying it he wasn't doing it in a joking manner.

He was being abusive, and the fact that he used a word that outside of Uruguay would be deemed as racist on a black player is evidence enough of his intentions.

The FA have again taking the easy way out; charging Suarez with misconduct but not outright racism. So they can charge him without actually saying/proving he used a racist term or providing evidence.

There hasn't been a statement yet on what the punishment would be but I would assume it would be a lengthy ban and hefty fine.

I know your Uruguayian and obviously a Suarez fan, but what he did was plain wrong. You can't defend in this case, he messed up big time. He used a term, which many black people would find deeply offensive, as an advatange to wind up Evra, and it worked too.

I think if Surez publicly apologises then this could have been avoided.

There seems to be a misunderstanding but it is kind of naive that he would expect Evra to understand what ever he said to him in a Uruguayan context.

The point is Evra was offended by what ever was said, Surez didn't apologise or explain that his intentions were not racially driven. That's where the mistake lies from where I'm standing. Liverpool fans can jump up and say scandal or injustice but you can only blame whoever was in charge of Surez's and Liverpool's PR.

I actually don't like the way LFC said how Evra should be banned if proven wrong.

Racism is a serious allegation and for them to try and insinuate that Evra was trying to get Saurez in trouble is out of order.

Zealous....that's it. It's like Saurez expects everyone to "understand and accept Uruguayian culture on what's acceptable and what's not" I don't buy that for one second. He knew exactly what he was doing.
