Pato vs Balotelli

Share youre views on whois better player of the two, and who has more potential

Almost everyone apart from Milan fans will now say Balo.

Two years ago on the Lithium forums I did the same thread saying Balotelli had more potential and basically everyone apart from the Inter supporters disagreed.

Those were great times...I wasn't around for the lithium forums but I got flamed all the time for saying Balotelli > Pato on the old forums

Is it too early to say "we told you so" ?

Both have their own shortcomings.

one is injury prone and the other needs some kind of attitude adjustment.

Just in terms of pure talent i think Balo edges Pato.

Balo is very similar to Ibrahimovic imo.

Who is Pato,? Balotelli all the way.

Balotelli for sure, more skill talent and more physical! His attitude needs a little adjustment but not all the way, his personality is part of him, he's different and that makes it interesting!

To be honest, I can careless if Pato did more, he was given more chances. Balotelli had guys like Milito and Eto'o in his way and yet made a name for himself. He left Inter for 30m, at the age of 19... just goes to show how good he is. Balotelli is the best player Italy has had in the past decade within young age. He has won it all, with both of his major clubs in comparison to Pato.

At the end of the day, Balotelli is more of a complete striker compared to Pato. Within hieght, strenght, pace, Agility, dribbling, technical and dynamics.

And as it seems with majority of the posts here, Balotelli seems to be in favor of having more potential.

Wow people here talk like Pato is a piece of sh1t and something like that ... he's the youngest to ever score 50 goals under 100 games in Italy and mind that he's been always injured .

I will choose Balloteli tho ...

Great to hear, however you forgot Balotelli stats. Balotelli is the right now the best Italian U20 player this past decade as he scored 20+ goals under the age of 20 IN SERIE A . Being an Italian of course. Yes, Pato has more goals, however Balotelli didn't get the same chances Pato got. Already explained above.

And seeing your a Milanista choosing Balotelli trully show's then that Balotelli is the player with more potential.

Yes Pato got more chances but here you cant deny that every season he played he was injured for long spans he never picked up a form ...

And i chose Balo because I like him ... Both of them have great potential , it's up all up to them ...

Balotelli- just because he just now is coming into his own doesn't mean that matters since they both still have a long way to go, since this is a current discussion

Balotelli is a player who can play better with his back turned to goal. He can hold up ball better and provide beter link-up play.

Pato on the other side is much faster and have great finishing.

For now, Pato established himself more as a big game player.

I'd say Balotelli is a big game player
Man of the match in the FA cup final
Brace against United
Some good performances for Italy
Helped Inter in the champions league (FK vs. Rubin, good performance against Barcelona if I recall correctly)

Pato is good too

There is not much between them but I think Balotelli ends up the better player, and right now is showing that

Both need a lot to prove. Balotrolli edges Pato clearly in physiques though

I'm sorry? But Pato is a better finisher... are you kidding me...? Balotelli is a better finisher and I don't even have to explain why. Most of his goals prove and show that and some show more style. Don't even get me started with goals he's scored from 30 + yards out, something Pato rarely does as you claim that he's a better finisher, that is false.

As for being faster? Debatable, however Balotelli is very fast player nonetheless, in comparison Pato is just a bit faster. So in comparing them with pace, I'd find it very irrelavent.

Balotelli has estabilised himself a big name player many times. Playing for Inter and Man City alone already proves him that. Him being the best u20 player does it. Him being man of the match at the FA Cup does it. His succeses with both clubs winning a series a cups and not to mention his current records with Man City. Being the best youth player in the EPL, winning award for it. In addition being the one player now Italy put full responsbility of.
