Against top teams, Alex is inconsistent and his marking can be really poor.

carvahlo was a regular, because he left we had to play alex and ivanovic at CB regularly last season untill we got david luiz

Carlo played a duo of Alex and Terry which resulted in Carvalho becoming a back-up. He (Carvalho) eventually ran off to Madrid.

Times have changed though with AvB, so Alex sits on the bench. Luiz/Ivanovic and Terry are usually the main CB's when everyone is fit. Hence Alex desire to leave.

So unneeded. Alex is a good player, big, strong and a beast in the air. A litle clumsy and to slow a partner for Terry though.

I get why Chelsea have no use for him, but he should do fairly well someplace else.

You have got to be kidding me. Clearly you guys haven't watched Alex towards the end of last season and this season. There's a reason why he's fourth choice defender.
