I disagree, With that kind of money they could get a young defender who will be able to serve them for much longer than TS can. He is like 28?

On top of that, they could probably buy another player or two if they bought a younger player.

Overpaying for a player who will only be around for ~5 years =\= win.

PSG already have a young uber talented CB in Sakho. They need a defensive anchor to organize everything and to mentor the kid along. They tried to get Varane last year... but he opted for Madrid.

For PSG, it's about building an international brand too. A lot of these moves are not just made for footy purposes. Silva, Lavezzi, Pastore, etc. gets them on the map globally.
